Yamaha YVC-200 Overview

Styled in white, the Yamaha YVC-200 is a personal speakerphone designed to help you take phone calls wherever you want. It offers clear audio for all your phone calls, and connects to your phone, tablet, or laptop over Bluetooth or via its on-board USB jack.

NFC pairing makes connecting multiple devices an easy process. You can also connect your headphones into its 3.5mm jack and listen privately through the speaker. Speakerphone for long hours

YVC-200 is the very best mic quality, I use it 9 hours a day, no software, just plug into USB A slot and it's working. I needed a solution where the other person does not hear that I am on a speaker. Yamaha is so deep in sound studio technology that they really make business spoken voice an easy win over 3 of the alternative speakerphones I've tried. This is the one to get if your job depends on you to sound good for long hours.

I'm teaching a class via Zoom. The students are ...

I'm teaching a class via Zoom. The students are in a classroom. I am remote. They have a projector so they can see me or the documents I share. But the mic on the laptop isn't very good and I have a hard time hearing them. If we plugged this into the laptop via USB and put it in front of the class would that give us some improvement?

Matthew, In most laptop scenarios the person is sitting right in front of it. I think the problem in my situation is that the students are all maybe 10-12 feet away from the laptop microphone. So maybe putting this closer to the students would help me to hear them better. Thanks for your help. Doug

Can you pair more than one unit per laptop? I have conference table for 10 and would like to place one on each end.

Per the user manual, this product does not "pair" to a computer but rather connects via USB - it will pair with smartphones. You should consider the Jabra Speak 710 that you can use multiple speakerphones the way you describe.

The specs say the USB port is Type-A, but it looks like micro Type-A. Can anyone confirm?

At the unit it is micro USB-B at the computer it is USB-A.
