Will it support Dolby Atmos?

Will it support Dolby Atmos?
Asked by: Alberto
Yes, this unit supports Dolby TrueHD, which can contain Dolby Atmos information. If the Blu-ray disc contains Dolby Atmos information, when a Dolby TrueHD signal is sent, in bitstream mode, the receiver or processor should detect that it is actually a Dolby Atmos track and processes the sound accordingly.

Is there a fix for sound out of synch with video ...

Is there a fix for sound out of synch with video on TCL 4K TV? I have simplest HDMI connections set up.
Asked by: Larry M
Power down the TV and cable/satellite box. Unplug the HDMI cable. Then power up and re-insert the cable. Make sure that the “S/PDIF and ARC” is set to PCM-Stereo under TV’s setting -> Audio Setting Try turning off and then turning on the TV and the sound bar. If you are streaming content, try changing to another streaming app/channels to see if audio delay will also occur. If you are watching through antenna, cable or satellite tv, try switching the channels to see if audio delay occurs on other channels. Try changing the source on the sound bar. If you are still experiencing lip-sync issue, we recommend updating the software on your TCL Sound Bar. Call TCL: Television 1-877-300-8837

Will this player be compatible with an older non ...

Will this player be compatible with an older non 4K AV receiver?
Asked by: Larry
You can make it work with an non 4K AV receiver by using the receiver only for audio and your monitor / TV for video. Here's a set up that will work 1) Connect this Player to your 4K TV using one of the TVs HDMI ports. Make sure you use the right HDMI cable as you need a "high speed" HDMI cable certified to support 4K. This will take care of Video. 2) Make sure that your TV supports an audio output. Typically TVs do support this. 3) Connect the TVs audio output to the receiver's audio input. It is best if your AV receiver supports Dolby Digital / Atmos and DTS. A lot of 4K DVDs use DTS encoding only. If your receiver does not support DTS, you may still be able to tweak the settings on the Blu-ray player to make it work.

Is the player noisier when reading a 4K UHD disc ...

Is the player noisier when reading a 4K UHD disc compared to a regular blu-ray HD disc? The player sounds normal at regular play.
Asked by: Alex
I don’t think it’s noisier, I can not hear a difference. But when I’m playing a movie on the player I have my surround sound on anyway. I have had problems of sound not playing at all when a disc is played. I had to turn it off and on again , then the sound will come on. Don’t happen very often. But has happened before.

Since my 10-year-old Oppo DVD player is not working very well now, I am thinking about replacing it. Will this Panasonic model work with a 2009 Samsung plasma TV?
Asked by: Lynnea
It seems like a bit of “over kill” since this player is very expensive and designed for 4K UHD discs which will not work with your television. If I were you, I would buy a Roku or Apple TV streaming box instead and save a decent amount of money. This player will only work to its fullest if you buy a 4K television.
