Bundled with a fabric honeycomb grid add-on that helps control the light spill spread by 40 degrees, and suitable for portraits, head shots, interviews, and fashion, the 34.8" Light Dome II from Aputure is a 16-sided modifier that offers quality of light options and wide compatibility with Aputure lights, as well as those of the many other manufacturers that use the popular Bowens front accessory mount. The structure of the Light Dome II is fortified by its 16 durable steel support rods, while its silver interior maximizes your light source's output. Its 24" depth produces a focused light with directional control that can be narrowed further for selective lighting with the included 40° fabric grid. Aputure provides a removable inner diffuser and both 1.5-stop and 2.5-stop front diffusers that you can use individually or all at once for softness and contrast options. The supplied gel filter holder also offers creative color options. Any way you use it, you'll find that the Light Dome II renders soft, flattering light with a wraparound quality and produces round, natural-looking catchlights in the eyes of your subject.

Aputure Light Dome II Reviews
Well made, easy to set up
Very well made, simple to set up and tear down. I like the light quality as well.
I love the design. I am going to buy 4 of them.
Nice & quick set/breakdown
Nice & quick set/breakdown. Good for big productions and small one man band shoots.
The perfect light... so far!
The Aputure Light Dome II is definitely a worthwhile investment. Our team has used it on a number of shoots so far and it is bright enough to (in some cases) be the only light we need when onsite. The only weird thing at first is getting used to pulling the metal and bending it when you're latching the hooks into place. It feels like you're bending it, when in fact the metal is designed to curve. This is a light we're happy with and recommend to anyone looking for a professional setup.
Easy Peasy to Use and Setup
Super easy setup in just a couple of minutes. Love it so far.
Worth every single penny!
This dome is THE absolute perfect and necessary accessory for these lights. It is light weight, easy to stow and easy to build on and off the light. Like the title said, well worth every penny.
Easy Setup and teardown
Setting up this soft box is a breeze compared to the first version. Using the buttons to release the supports is much faster and better for on location use. Including an Unbleached Muslin diffusion and a grid are also welcome additions to this kit and make it much more versatile. My only complaint is I wish the bag was another inch bigger. It is a tight fit getting it back in the bag.
comparison with Lupo Dome Pro Softbox
What do you guys think? Both attached to C300d mark II and both are on 100%. There are inner diffusers in both of them. Aputure is on the left. Lupo is on the right.
