Hi, does anyone have a suggestion for a reusable gel for converting 5600K lights to Tungsten 3200K? I'm looking for something more durable than a piece of gel, which often melts a little with lights like the Aputure 600D. Maybe something like this could be cut perfectly to fit the gel holder for this softbox, or do you have any other ideas? https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1352481-REG/frezzi_99028_sunlight_gel_pack_with.html

The Frezzi CTO Gel and Diffusion Filter for SunLight is designed for use with the Frezzi SunLight AC/DC Travel Kit. They are also a special order item we do not keep in our inventory, so we cannot check to see if they would be compatible for use with the gel filter holder included with the Aputure Light Dome II. The instruction manual for the Aputure Light Dome II states when using color gels with powerful LED lights such as the Aputure C300d, the heat will cause the filter gels to distort or burn after a period of time. You are advised to change new sheets of color filters once every three (3) hours during constant usage. You are recommended to use ROSCO or LEE Filters for better results. Unfortunately, LEE Filters and ROSCO do not have CTO glass filters of the correct diameter designed for use with the gel filter holder included with the Aputure Light Dome II, and unfortunately, I do not see an appropriately-sized third-party CTO glass filter for your usage needs.

Setting up the lightdome is harder than expected. Any tips? I feel like I'm going to bend/break the rods when pulling on them.

The last 2 rods require some force to stretch the material

I only recent learned that diffusion brings down (effectively "warms") color temperature of a light's output - roughly, between 100 and 300 degrees depending on type of fabric, density, that sort of thing. So, I wonder if anyone can tell us: what will be the color temperature effect of the two layers of diffusion (separately and together) on the Aputure Mini Dome II?
Asked by: David
If you are working with 5600K light it will possible bring it down to 5300K depending on how new or how well you have treated the diffusers , that's hardly enough to make any noticeable real different on most video or photo use

Does this work with Godox SL60W?
Asked by: Jimmy
Compatible? Yes in that it will mount on the SL60W with the Bowens mount, however with the two layers of diffusion and deep throw of the softbox a more powerful wattage light such as the Aputure 120d or the Godox VL150 would be a better IMO
