Yes, the buttons cut data and power. No, the external drive would not mount if the button for that port is not engaged.

I am not certain of what the wattage is. You can download the User Guide on the product page. This is the best USB Hub I have ever had. I have charged my Apple Mouse, an iPad Pro and my phone with this Hub. If I ever need another one, I would buy this again.

The Sabrent 7-Port USB 3.0 Hub with 3 Smart Charging Ports, would be able to handle 110-220 volts. But its comes with a USA plug, so you would need an adapter to change the plug to the outlet you would be using.

Do the power buttons also cut the data signal? Will this device work like an A/B Usb switcher even though there is only one source. I'd like to be able to lock my keyboard when I walk away to protect against my cat.
