Yongnuo YN560Li Reviews

Inexpensive but good

I'm using these lights for weddings, both for portraits with umbrellas and also for room lights. Previously I was using the model that takes AA batteries. I kept them in case of travel jobs since you can't take Lithium on a plane. (Note that you should get 18650 batteries with a flat Plus end otherwise they might not fit.) The flashes cost less than what Canon charged me for years just to replace the hot shoes on their shoe mount flashes which broke off regularly. Since they're so cheap If the Yongnuo flashes break I just toss them out, but they have been as reliable as Canon lights for a fraction of the price. With the built in radios I can easily control all my lights from the on camera flash.

Can I fire this model from a Sekonic light meter 308?
Asked by: Daniel
The Sekonic light meter 308 is not wireless. You would would need Impact SCS-MPC PC Male to Hot Shoe Sync Cord (12") B&H # IMSCSMPC and a Impact Sync Cord Male PC to Female PC (33') B&H # IMPCMPCF33. There is a cordless mode. However, you have to manually fire the flash.
