I had originally gotten this printer because I wasn't able to get a cheaper one, because there seems to be a big shortage of brother brand printers, possibly in relation to China. However, even though this one cost a lot it's a really good printer. It doesn't get tired I can print large documents of 60 for 210 pages and the ink does not start to thin out. It works really well and I haven't had any problems with it, but then again I'm only a few months the owner. I would be glad to be called and have a follow up review years down the line or one year. I specifically bought it because it does not connect to Wi-Fi, because it does connect to Linux computers, and because it specifically uses a USB cord and nothing more. I was specifically trying to get away from HP and their big brother print approval system from the iPhone app where they have to read your document and keep a copy before they let you print it on their printer, and then they send a Signal over the Internet of things to kill your printer so you're forced to buy a new one, and you can only buy their ink which is a racket.

the printer is very nice, quiet, crisp printing and fast. I like it a lot. My son bought it for me to replace an HP OfficeJet. whick was OK but this is suprior.

I literally wouldn't keep this if it were free. images are completely illegible - not technically the right term, but trust me, it's correct. I printed an inventory sheet of all my images and they are indistinguishable from each other. that is completely not helpful. even the type is hard to read, with lines through it making it blurry.

Unlike the HP cloud nonsense, this printer wakes up, prints and goes back to sleep. It's refreshing not to be frustrated by something that should be simple.

You can print from your Chromebook using most printers that connect to Wi-Fi or a wired network. Currently, Chromebooks don't support Bluetooth printing however. To set up the printer On the Chromebook, click the clock in the bottom right corner, and then click the Settings icon . Scroll to the bottom of the screen and click Advanced. Scroll to the Printing section, click Printers, and then click Add Printer. If your printer displays, click it, and then click Add.
