Panasonic DC-LX100 II Reviews

Amazing camera. Definitely the favorite one I own.

Can't say enough great things about this camera. The lens, the ease of use, the size (so I can bring it everywhere) and the intelligent auto function takes the best pics in a pinch. I also own two Leica's and this camera gets used so much more frequently because of how great the pics always turn out.

Misrepresented by B&H

iPhone remote does not work and will not connect. Eye sensor difficult to use and see through. Digital back hard to see in outdoor light. Confusing menus. B&H refused return based on packing being lost. I am a long time customer having spent many thousands of dollars with B&H over many years. All in all a complete waste of $1100 bucks.

A real sleeper in the compact world

This little camera was a gateway drug for me to get into a micro 4/3 system. This camera shares the same 20MP sensor as M43 cameras, but with a permanently attached f1.7-2.8 compact zoom lens. Ok sure, it's got a 1.1x crop factor...big whoop! The image quality looks identical to my M4/3 primes on my GX85 at the same apertures and ISO. I consider this camera the 'standard zoom' in my M43 kit. I treat is a trio of fast 24, 28 and 35mm primes that also zooms to 75mm f2.8. It's a hugely versatile little camera. The manual controls are very satisfying to use, especially the aperture ring. I don't get any EVF tearing to my eyes. Sure, always wish it could be better and bigger but it does the job. This is a true 'photographer's camera' that delivers big image quality in a small package. I hope Panasonic keeps this line going into the future. A version III with the new 26MP sensor, a tilt LCD, better EVF, and stretch the lens to 85mm...I'd certainly be a buyer.

Great color, nice viewfinder

I was debating which daily point and shoot camera to get and settled in this one. I love the lens and the compositions you can get with the different frame settings. I've never been a fan of Panasonic's blue outline focus on the digital screen. Otherwise, I really like this camera and all of its limitations and features.

Enjoyable To Use

Like others, I purchased the Lumix DC-LX100M2 for those occasions when I do not want to carry a bulky, heavy FF DSLR kit. The color and detail of the Lumix images are impressive. The camera handles well compared to other compacts that I have used, but I do sometimes accidentally turn the Control Ring when reaching for the Lens Aperture Ring. It appears the the LCD screen may scratch more easily than my other cameras and to avoid dust on the sensor, I plan to use my fully sealed DSLR's whenever the environment may be dusty or wet. Overall, I rated the camera 5 stars because it is so enjoyable for an enthusiast to use.

Bought this for my husband as he wanted something better than a phone camera, but does a lot of traveling and didn't want to travel too heavy. Love the featureset on this camera, provides a good amount of photograph control, really impressive image quality right out of the camera.

Excellent camera

I bought this camera because I really liked the idea of the old school film camera controls on a mirrorless camera. It's super fun to shoot with and compact enough to carry anywhere. I would recommend this camera to both experienced and brand new photographers.

My second purchase of this camera

I had one of these cameras for a few years and lost it. I thought there must be something new and better on the market but looked around and couldn't find anything. This camera gives a great image. For me personally, what separates it from most of the others is 1) it has a top-mounted knob that you can quickly turn to adjust for under or over exposure, and 2) in addition to the image screen it has an electronic viewfinder that is a highly needed option that allows you to better see the image when shooting in sunlight. I also bought the TT685 Godox flash unit that B&H suggest for this unit. I find this unit to be just as good as the similar-size Lumix flash unit I have, and somewhat easier to use. No complaints here.

Does this camera come with a battery charger and/or extra battery? The previous answered question is not clear at all. The "in the box" section says it comes with an "AC adapter" but does not mention the travel kit that the previous answerer mentioned. This ought to be a simple yes or no answer.
