The AudioBox USB 96 utilizes 24-bit converters at sampling rates up to 96 kHz to ensure the integrity and detail of your signals, whether recording or mixing. DO NOT buy this microphone. I purchased this NT-1A in January and within a month it became nonfunctional, cutting in and out. Replaced all hardware and confirmed that it was, in fact, the mic. I contacted Rode and explained the issue. I sent the mic in and they sent me a NEW replacement NT-1A. The same exact issue occurred within a day of using the replacement mic. I searched on-line and found pages of similar complaints on this product. I, again, contacted Rodes and after several minutes they agreed to send me another model. Not sure why a company would want to damage their reputation by continuing to sell a clearly defective product. I am also disappointed that B&H would direct me to the manufacturer and not exert some influence on the fact that they are selling such a poor product.

This microphone is clear, and makes your voice stand out in there mix. But the only draw back is B&H, I'll never do a business with them anymore. For they don't go above and beyond to help their customers. After buying this mic, i realized that I bought using my old address, so i called their customer service to see if they can contact the shipping company to rectify the problem. They refused to do anything. I was pretty much on my own. Therefore, i had to contact FedEx and asked them to hold my other in FedEx store and I'll pick it up there. FedEx told me that B&H could've done it if they wanted to.

The Rode NT1-A Microphone/USB Preamp Bundle is an excellent option. The kit does include a Senal XU-1648 XLR-to-USB Interface that will allow you to connect the microphone to your computer via USB. The USB cable is included and the interface also features a headphone jack so you can monitor the audio while recording.

Im looking to record ambient room audio in churches mostly during wedding ceremonies. I see mostly people using it for podcasting and music recording. Will it work well the way i want to use it in this scenario?

I would not consider this mic for ambient recording at a wedding ceremony, but instead would use a stereo mic set up to. Two small diaphragm mics, such as the Rode M5 Compact 1/2&quot; Condenser Microphone (Matched Pair), BH #ROM5MP on a stand facing each other in an X/Y pattern would be a good solution. You would put the two mics on to a K&amp;M 23550 Adjustable Microphone Bar, BH #KM23550, and on to a mic stand, such as the Auray MS-5230F Tripod Microphone Stand with Fixed Boom, BH #AUMS5230F. Aim this at the audience or the front of the church to pick up a good area of coverage. If you need wider coverage, face the two mics away form each other on the stereo bar. .

You can connect the NT1-A to your phone using a battery-powered mobile interface such as the IK Multimedia iRig Pre Microphone Interface (B&amp;H# IKIRIGPRE). The interface will supply phantom power for the mic and then send the audio into the phone. The iRig Pre has an attached cable with a 3.5mm TRRS connector for smartphones and also works with a Lightning adapter for compatibility with iPhones. The interface includes a headphone jack with volume control to monitor the audio while recording. There are many other similar options with the same types of features, and some with additional features for connecting a second mic or instrument. Depends on why you are sending to Brazil. If the item is a gift then it's not taxed as an imported good, however it will still run you about $50-75 USD via USPS depending on box size for packing. Otherwise check with Br customs on taxes, it can absolutely be pricey and a hassle as their post is all gov run.

This mic and its accompanying mount require a standard mic screw mount. This is a large, heavy mic that needs the support of a good stand, and will require an external mixer before feeding signal to a computer.
