Nitecore MH23 Reviews

Nice Flashlight but don't forget the batteries!!

This was a repeat purchase after I misplaced my previous one and did not realize until unsuccessfully trying to charge it first time that it has no batteries inside it right out of the box!! What were they thinking? Why do they expect people to just keep specialized rechargeable nitecore batteries lying around?

This flashlight is very powerful. Charges quickly and has great time performance. The brightness levels are perfect and the other functions like SOS, beam, and strobe work great. With a lot of recent experience with high end flashlights, I recommend this one. It's fun and reliable.

I'll start by saying I have this lights' little brother (MH20) and like many sought more lumens. This light is bright, but I'm not quite sure it's up to the published 1800 lumens. I would have given it a 5/5 if it had knocked my socks off with it's brightness. It is possible that I've just not gotten it to a location where the beam can really stretch it's legs yet, but I look forward to that occurence. Without a doubt it is extremely well made, easily pocketable and easy to operate. I would advise any interested in this light to be sure to use a high drain 18650 battery (currently using an LG HG2, but also works well with Sony VTC6). It will remain an oft used mainstay in my ever growing stable of LED flashlights.
