Was looking to upgrade from my old G85, and this was perfect! Has all the same controls and more and I felt at home with it as I've stuck with the lumix cameras for a while now! The kit is also great and comes with some accessories that were helpful in my traveling.
Nothing comes close for the money and ease of use.

If fitted with the LUMIX 12-35 lens, nothing comes close to the quality and ease of use in the 4K/60P world of cams for 2k or less.

I already own a GH4; but I've been experimenting with pulling off individual image frames from a video. Shooting in 4K gives me bigger images and 60FPS gives me less blur Blur between frames is normally desirable but not for what I am doing. Still experimenting but getting some interesting results.

I bought the gh5 roughly 6 months ago and pair it with the Leica 8-18mm, 25mm 1.7 and 42.5mm 1.7. The camera is insane bang for buck when it comes to video, photo quality is pretty good and lenses are relatively cheap compared to full frame. The camera also has some really helpful features like focus peaking, zebra pattern, and histogram. It's ergonamically fantanstic. The only downfall of this camera is the autofocus which pulses here and there, but I can just use manual. Also the low loght performance is weak. I typically use 1600 iso at most, but fast lenses help. This also helps me be a better photographer and chase light at night. For the price the camera is strong compared to the competition and with the gh6 coming out soon MFT will continue to have support. I'll include some car pictures I've taken. I have shot a few music videos and plan to shoot automotive sequences soon. Beast of a camera!

There are so many downs to this camera that panasonic should be ashamed and actually i guess it started its crisis with this terrible camera. I own one since 3 years i rarely use it and when ai do i do for the worst job i have. Bad video quality, moiree that is unbearable for a pro camera, they should have kepts like the gh5s the 10mpx sensor of the gh4 for at least, no autofocus at all, the main lens is terrible and really the color is unbearable, one of the worst ever.. never buy it and nor the successor which is just a waste of money in my opinion.. Image quality is so low that is really unbearable.

I have sort of bought into the Panasonic Lumix micro four thirds system. It will work with lenses I already have. I bought this, now, instead of the next iteration of Lumix (GH5 II or the GH6) because it uses the BP19 batteries that I have for my GH4 cameras. I live in Alaska and getting lithium batteries up here is a challenge. They can ship as part of the camera kit box, but not separate. This allows me to use what I have instead to trying to get spares of a different model lithium batteries.

Im new to video and I have been reading really great reviews for this. how does the autofocus perform when there are more than one person in the frame looking at the camera? like 2 people speaking facing the camera? does it only focus on one face? or does it keep both in focus on the frame?
Regardless of the cameras focusing system, the basic principles of focusing remain the same. A camera can only focus on a single plane known as the focal plane. Unless your subjects are equidistant from the camera only one subject would be truly in focus. The Panasonic Lumix GH5 Mirrorless Camera does do a decent job of grabbing focus, but keep in mind this is only on one focal plane. Depending on your lens, aperture, and subject distance, you may have the depth of field to have both subjects in focus.

It will shoot until the card is full, because it does not have any 29 min 59 sec limitations. You would get roughly 10 minutes at 10-bit 4:2:2 or under 60 minutes at standard rates.
