    Plantronics RIG 600 reviews

RIG 600 Dolby Atmos High Fidelity Gaming PC Headset is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 16.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gaming - Music, - Phone Great Sound Loud & Clear Gave these head phones a lot of testing, Call of Duty WWII Team Death match and then Playing Fortnite - Battle Royale with my friends we could hear distant gun shots and know by the sound where the bad guys were. Could even hear the birds chirping. The Creepy sounds of Resident Evil where clear and ominus. I have enjoyed them on the X Box, My Phone, even my pad they never missed a beat. Plenty of Volume with dynamic sound. My Musical tastes run from Pink Floyd to Rock & Roll to Opera The Rig 600 handled it all, Even used them with mobile phone calls coming through loud and clear .... always. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incredible Sound at a Great Price Point First thing I noticed was the design. In my opinion, I enjoy a classic looking headset versus a futuristic one so this was perfect. It's comfortable and breathable which is ideal for long periods of use. After setting it up I was impressed with the spatial sound and frequency range. I'm familiar with the BackBeat Pro line and they brought much of the rich sound into the RIGs. At this price point you get a lot of headphone and on top of that you get An activation code for Dolby Atmos. I still feel that Atmos is in its early stages so there's improvements to the technology but it's an impressive audio experience. All in all a great product, only thing I'd want is a wireless version of this design. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great headset, nice aesthetics for on the go. First off I received this product in exchange for an review. I must admit I'm a long play gamer, So my favorite headsets are the 500 and the 800 series, however these are the PC and mobile and look more stylish to go out with rather than the 500 and 800s. Looks: I will start with the look, nice black leather feel to them, Headband is more economy style looking as you would see on everyone else. Still has the nice leather look going thru the headband as well. The ear cups are same material with breathing holes. They also have an gold color ring around the side of the headphones to add color. The ear cups swivel so you can rest them on you when not in use. Microphone: As always if your aware of Plantronics, the mics are the best!!! There are two that come with the set, one is a boom mic and other is inline, The boom mic is great for gaming and obviously the inline is great for on the go. Sound: Sound is clear like always, the 40mm drivers the use are best in class in my opinion ( foot steps, highs, small bass enough to keep you emerged in the game.) Add in a amp for Xbox controller and they are loud! The Dolby Atmos is fantastic as well. Makes me feel like I'm in the game more. I cant speak enough how it has change the sound. On PC as well, a simply setup and I playing! Wearing Time : So if i had to say something bad about the headset this is where it comes, and again this is my opinion. I typically use the ear cups that are cloth and breathable due to playing times. I find my ears getting hot after a long playing time with this headset, honestly its expected with the type of material it is. So its not a knock but just my opinion. I live in Florida and it gets hot. So maybe they wouldn't be that great our doors but i don't think anyone is really looking to use this out doors. However they do claim to be for mobile as well. Wiring : Again it comes with two set of wiring with built in mics to it, which are interchangeable and also comes with a mic headset split for PC. Wires are sturdy so is the inline mic, Inline mic has nice click feel for on and off function. Also inline mic has volume control feature. Overall this has now became my main PC head set, just because of the feel. I do more gaming on PS4 and XBOX than PC. so should suit perfect. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Sound with Great Comfort I opened the box to find a well made comfortable headset. As we all know, playing games requires a lot of seat time and comfort is a must. I have tried several other premium headsets that simply didn't cut it. The build quality on this headset was really good. Everything from fit of parts to the stitching on the headband were top notch. Now for the real treat. I downloaded the Dolby Atmos for Headphones on my Windows 10 gaming laptop (HP Omen with 4k display) and experienced some of the best sound from a headset I have ever experienced. As I said, I have tried several premium headsets and this headset is right up there with them! I am having an issue with my computer that is not allowing me to use the headset microphone so I was not able to test that feature. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sound Quality I have had the 600s for a little over a week. First thing i want to say is the material they make their headsets with is 2nd to none none of their products feel cheap. I enjoyed using this headset must buy for its price only issue i came across is the ears are a little to small for my ears but that's all good headset!!! Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent Quality Portable Sound Platforms Tested: Xbox One Test games: Xbox One- Rise of the Tomb Raider Packaging: Standard and reasonably resistant to damage Setup: Quick and Easy - Download and install the Dolby Atmos Software then it's Plug n' Play Build Quality and Appearence: The Plantronics Rig 600 is a solid feeling headset. Nothing feels flimsy or weak. It is nicely padded and comfortable to wear for extended periods of time. Unlike the Rig 400 HX and the Rig 100, the Rig 600 uses a more classic sliding system for sizing - a very welcome change. The rotation on the ear cups for storage/transport is also very nice. The appearance is more understated than headsets like the Rig 400 HX. There is no blue/black camo to be found here. The 600 is just sleek and black with nice looking gold trim. In some cases less is more, and this is one of those cases. Testing: Xbox One In testing with Rise of the Tomb Raider a number of things were notable. The overall sound quality is super impressive from a non-powered headset. The base is good, and the treble is also impressive. Gunfire, spoken dialogue, and ambient noises do not muddle together. Left and right tracking are good, however the positional audio leaves a little bit to be desired. Sometimes you could clearly hear a sound from behind you that is supposed to be behind you, but an equal amount of the time it just seemed to be tracking as it would in a stereo headset. This detracted minimally from the experience overall. Chat was also tested, and worked well with only one notable issue - I received a bass hum every time the person I was chatting with spoke. I tinkered with all of the chat audio settings and was unable to correct this. It was a minor distraction, but worth noting. Conclusion: This is a great headset. The sound quality is phenomenal, even with the few drawbacks mentioned above. I think this would be a fantastic unit to have if you are traveling or in any circumstance where a full 5.1 or higher surround system is not practical. It also comes with an adapter for your smart phone, and one to connect it to PC, which are nice options to have. As some might have noticed, I only tested this against one game - unfortunately Dolby Atmos support is not currently that widespread, so I only had one title that supported it to test against. I'm sure that this will be corrected over time and more support will be added through patches. Pros: *Phenomenal sound in a un-powered headset *Sharp aesthetics *Comfortable *Simple Setup Cons: *Few titles currently support Atmos *Feedback hum when Chatting *Positional Audio seems lacking [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
