Peak Design Travel Camera Cube Overview

This small Travel Camera Cube from Peak Design is part of a compartment system that enhances the ability to organize the contents of a Peak Design Travel-Series bag. Designed with interior dimensions of 11.5" x 6" x 6" to store camera, video, audio, or digital media equipment, it can accommodate a DSLR camera with a battery grip and a 70-200mm f/2.8 lens, or a mirrorless camera and four lenses, or a medium-sized folding drone kit.

Equipment placed within this Travel Camera Cube's non-abrasive interior can be arranged using its two padded, touch-tab dividers. A movable, touch-tab pocket is also provided to hold batteries, memory cards, or other small accessories against the inside of this Travel Camera Cube. When placing the Travel Camera Cube itself within a compatible Travel-Series bag, four included Peak Design C-Clips allow it to become a securely mounted compartment. The Travel Camera Cube is then prevented from shifting, and can be made to have its zippered opening align with one of a Travel-Series bag's own openings for seamless accessibility to the equipment inside.

Complete access to the Travel Camera Cube's interior is enabled by a zippered panel. A pull-tab along the top of the zippered panel can be used to simultaneously retract the zippers while opening the panel for immediate removal or placement of items within the Travel Camera Cube.

While intended to be used as an internal Travel-Series bag compartment, this Travel Camera Cube features durable, weather-resistant nylon construction, and a top handle allows it to be securely carried.

This cube is amazing! I can store all of my gear safely and move it from my peak design bag to another if needed. Or remove it and leave it behind for a vacation where my camera is not needed. Highly recommend for the versatility.

The kind of products I love: no unuseful stuff, no frivolity, just a sleek camera bag that have everything you need without anything you don’t. Compartiment are a bit hard to move, but that makes them solid.

I purchased the medium camera cube, and I love it. It is sturdy, the velcro is solid, the built in pocket is awesome for small stuff. I bought it to see if I could carry 2 bodies and multiple lenses and the answer is yes, however it does get heavy. Which is not Peak Designs problem. I have to purchase the 45L bag to go with it, but I am thoroughly impressed.

The Camera Cube was purchased to use in an already existing backpack (with measurements having already been taken). It fit in as planned and has made transporting a Canon 5D MK IV almost effortless along with ease of mind for the safety and security of the camera and lens.

I bought this for a three week trekking holiday and am so glad I did. It bought the small size as I needed to carry everything but still managed to get two camera bodies, three prime lenses and a Polaroid sx70 in and it protected my gear perfectly.

Regular camera bag / backpack. Put your gear in this cube and then place it in your suitcase or conventional travel backpack or tote.

It fit my full frame Canon 6D, a 16-35 lens, a 24-70 lens, my cable pouch, and a charger. The cube fit into my 32 L backpack.

I recently purchased the Peak Design 30L Travel Backpack and wanted a camera insert for it. I couldn't decide between the small and the medium, so I purchased both. The small is perfect for everyday use and when I want to carry a small setup. I can even mount both the medium and small bag in the 30L backpack. This is a great add-on to the Travel Backpack.

What are the inner dimensions? Will it fit a D800E with attached Nikkor 500mm 5.6E PF lens?
Asked by: Albert
The interior dimensions are quite small at 11.5 x 6.0 x 6.0 inches. I would say it's primarily for mirrorless cameras with small prime lenses. It's good for accessories but and small camera packages. It can be easily outgrown. Very durable and secure otherwise.

The Camera Cube (Small) can fit everything you mention with a little room to spare. Not a lot of spare room, but some space for some small accessories.
