Peak Design Travel Camera Cube Overview

This medium Travel Camera Cube from Peak Design is part of a compartment system that enhances the ability to organize the contents of a Peak Design Travel-Series bag. Specifically designed to store camera, video, audio, or digital media equipment, it can accommodate a DSLR camera with a battery grip and a 70-200mm f/2.8 lens, or up to two mirrorless cameras and eight lenses, or up to two medium-sized folding drone kits.

Equipment placed within this Travel Camera Cube's non-abrasive interior can be arranged using its eight padded, touch-tab dividers. A movable, touch-tab pocket is also provided to hold batteries, memory cards, or other small accessories against the inside of this Travel Camera Cube. When placing the Travel Camera Cube itself within a compatible Travel-Series bag, four included Peak Design C-Clips allow it to become a securely mounted compartment. The Travel Camera Cube is then prevented from shifting, and can be made to have its zippered openings align with the Travel-Series bag's own openings for seamless accessibility to the equipment inside.

Complete access to the Travel Camera Cube's interior is enabled by a zippered rear panel, while two zippered side openings complement Travel-Series bags that also feature side openings which are positioned to face the wearer when the bag is rotated from one's back to front with either side facing upward.

While intended to be used as an internal Travel-Series bag compartment, this Travel Camera Cube features durable, weather-resistant nylon construction. A top handle allows it to be securely carried, and accessory loops distributed throughout its exterior can accommodate a separately available strap.

Will this cube hold a Hasselblad 500 body with 80mm lens and one or two more lenses? And maybe a spare back?
Asked by: Andrew
It depends on the size of the lenses. The Peak Design Travel Camera Cube (Medium) measures internally 11 x 11 x 6". The larger version measures 16 x 12 x 6". I would recommend placing the camera and lenses on a table as they would be placed in the cube and measures the length, width, and height and then compare with the internal measurements of the cubes to buy the correct one.

Has anyone tried a large in a Pelican 1510?

The Pelican case is too small. The Peak Design is 12.6 x 12.6 x 6.7" and the 1510 case interior is 19.8 x 11 x 7.6".

Is it possible to insert these Peak Design cubes ...

Is it possible to insert these Peak Design cubes into the Shimoda Explore 40 backpack? I like the backpack itself, but don't like Shimoda ICUs which in my opinion are not as good as these. What I've noticed is that PD cubes are little bit bigger. Has anyone tried to fit PD cubes into the Explore 40? Or can someone do it please? I'd like to buy small and mediumPD cubes, but I'm in doubts about integration.

Will this fit 2 cameras with attached 24-70 and 70-200 lenses and can both be accessed from the side zipper?
Asked by: Isaac
No, the Peak Design Travel Camera Cube (Medium) will not allow you to access two cameras from the size zipper. And it is a bit small to have two cameras with a 24-70 and a 70-200 attached.
