Cable Techniques CT-LP-VENYM-18 Reviews

Pricey, wish the cables went through the top.

I bought this primarily because it seemed to be the smallest possible cable of its class, intended use was to modify my rode blimp 2 and convert it into an M/S grip. While the jacks were definitely small enough to fit where I needed them to go, I unfortunately didn't put into account that cables came out the side rather than the top, making it a very difficult to fit it into the grip. If it were $25 cheaper though, I wouldn't complain.

I use this in my Rode blimp with Line Audio CM3 microphones in a wide ORTF array. It fits very snug and cuts down on cable clutter. highly recommended for anyone looking for low profile cables for stereo blimp rigs.

If you have a Sony Broadcast video camera like the PVW350, with a 5pin XLR input for stereo on camera mic, you can access audio CH 3&4 input with this adapter cable. Great way to add two 3pin female XLR mic inputs for wireless receivers, etc Lightweight XLR connectors and cable are solid.
