The main differences between the SLR Magic Cine II 50mm f/1.1 and the SLR Magic Cine 75mm f/1.4 FE Lens for Sony E-Mount are the difference in focal lengths, and the 75mm has a f1.4 vs the f1.1 on the 50mm. Both lenses are nearly identical in weight and size, varying only slightly and both feature 52mm filter threads.

The four conners of a photo is much darker than the rest of the photo, like looking through a tube. Is this normal?
Asked by: Jie
The SLR Magic Cine II 50mm f/1.1 Lens (Sony E-Mount) (B&H# SL5011FE2) does exhibit significant vignetting, especially at its widest aperture setting. You'll find that you can increase the aperture number setting (thereby reducing the size of the aperture or iris itself) and the corners will brighten relative to the level of brightness in the center of the frame. Thus the brightness will be more uniform at, say, f/5.6 versus, say, f/1.1.

Asked by: Vinay
While this lens is designed for Cinema use you will certainly be able to take still images with it as well. Keep in mind it is a fully manual lens though, it will not work with your still camera's auto focus features when taking an image.
