I know the specs say the aperture of this lens is F1.1, but what is the T-stop of this lens?
Asked by: Jonathan
@Joseph Staff should not answer if they don't know what they're talking about. A T-stop is the measured transmission (where the T comes from) of light through a lens at a certain iris opening size, and an f-stop is a designed opening of a lens iris at a particular aperture size. Different lenses have different amounts of light transmission properties, and so some are darker than others at the same f-stop. For example, a lens at f/2.0 may have a measured transmission rating of t/2.2, and another lens at f/2.0 may actually be t/2.4. T-stops are used to more easily match exposure between different lenses (including those of different manufacturers), as an f/2.8 on one lens can pass less light than a different lens set to the exact same f/2.8. To the OP... the manufacturer seems to have not reported the measured transmission T-stop ratings, so you can assume it's likely t/1.2 to t/1.3.

Wat's the difference between the 50mm II and the 75mm?
Asked by: Sayyid Khalifa
The main differences between the SLR Magic Cine II 50mm f/1.1 and the SLR Magic Cine 75mm f/1.4 FE Lens for Sony E-Mount are the difference in focal lengths, and the 75mm has a f1.4 vs the f1.1 on the 50mm. Both lenses are nearly identical in weight and size, varying only slightly and both feature 52mm filter threads.

Can we take pictures from this lens or this lens only used for videos
Asked by: Vinay
While this lens is designed for Cinema use you will certainly be able to take still images with it as well. Keep in mind it is a fully manual lens though, it will not work with your still camera's auto focus features when taking an image.

Will this work well with my Sony a7rIII and the SLR Magic Anamorphot-50 1.33x Anamorphic Adapter. Is it possible to use the 35mm with this adaptor too?
Asked by: Ben
Yes, you will be able to use this lens with the Anamorphot-50 1.33x Adapter. However for a full frame camera the focal length must be between 40-85mm. Meaning the Anamorphot will not work with the 35mm lens on the A7RIII in full frame mode. https://bhpho.to/2o7c4UO
