Free your Nikon or Canon camera from wired control with the CamRanger Mini wireless remote camera control transmitter and app. The Mini is approximately half the size, has a longer range, and has a faster processing speed than the original CamRanger transmitter.

Using the CamRanger Mini app, you can see a live view from your camera; toggle photo, video, and focus modes; capture images and time-lapse; zoom; modify HDR settings such as shutter speed, aperture, and ISO; and more. There's also a share mode, which allows photos and videos to be transferred to your device for editing and sharing.

The Mini can also connect to the CamRanger PT Hub and MP-360 motorized tripod head to remotely control the pan and tilt of the camera with the same CamRanger Mini app so you can create seamless panoramas.

The Mini transmitter can be fully charged in approximately 2-3 hours, and the built-in rechargeable 1800mAh lithium-ion battery lasts about 3-4 hours per charge. The CamRanger Mini app connects via 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi from up to 400' away.

Wireless Control

From the CamRanger Mini app, you can remotely control your camera, PT Hub, or MP-360 tripod head, and transfer and share images via the app, all via Wi-Fi. You can control your camera's settings and functions such as:

  • View Card Contents
  • App Settings
  • Thumbnails
  • View Image/Live Image
  • Focus, HDR, Time-Lapse
  • Camera Settings
  • Toggle Live View, Video, Focus
  • Capture Image
  • Show Gridlines (layout and color)
  • File Name

  • Rotate Live View

  • Controls and Workflows

Control PT Hub and MP-360 Tripod Head

Once the CamRanger Mini is connected to the PT Hub and MP-360 tripod head, a "tripod" button will appear in the CamRanger Mini app, which allows you to remotely control the pan and tilt of your camera and create seamless panoramas

Is this compatible with the anon R5
Asked by: Anonymous
good questions,I needed to know this as well. I just tested it out and yes i was able to control my R5 with my cam ranger mini. You will need a usb to usb-c to connect to R5. I used my Hero 8 charging cable and it worked. I was able to change settings and take photos as well as download to my iPad mini. When i do this i shoot raw and jpegs and have the jpeg as my review options otherwise 45 megapixel raw files would be hugh and take awhile to transfer for review. The touch focus was working but seemed to have a hard time when i selected certain parts on my iPad mini. This could have had something to do with my auto focus settings i had on at the time. i will test more to see if all the setting i need work but yes it does connect

I have a Canon 5D Markiv It it better to use a cam ranger or video monitor as a larger viewing screen.
Asked by: Jerry
Either will work, the pro to the camranger is that is wireless but connection is sometimes glitchy. A monitor will give constant video without any fall out or dark screen.
