will the medium fit the Olympus 0md-1 Mk 2 or M1X with the 300mm lens?
Asked by: Paula
Am Sorry, I have never used a Olympus and hence can't give you a direct answer. However, if it helps in terms of comparison- it is more than adequate for Nikon D5 with a 24-70 f2.8 lens with hood.

would this work with an a7riii with a battery grip?
Asked by: david
Depend on what kind of lens you intend to use with? You should be fine so long as you don't use lenses bigger than typical 24-70 zoom lens. I've used it with my nikon D5 and 24-70N(no VR)

The Medium with be perfect for that set up. I have personally used this rain cover with the Sony a7iii and the 100-400 GM. The viewing window of the rain cover works well with this set up too; good fit.

Would this cover be hard to use without attaching it to the flash shoe? I would also be using an intervalometer.
Asked by: Randall
It would not be hard. I use to use it that way before I updated my camera’s firmware which included an intervalometer. It’s not a requirement to attach the cold shoe and it still be usable.

No you don't need to use a tripod, in fact I rarely do. Almost always I'm hand holding the camera.

Can you see out of the viewfinder with this cover??? Doesn't seem like it
Asked by: karl
Yes. The clear cover at the back of the cover is large enough to allow you to see the viewfinder and the back screen of the camera. There is a clip that fits into the hot shoe of the camera to keep the cover in place. I use this when photographing high school football and soccer in the snow and rain - works great. Really like the flat strap that cinches the cover to the lens hood.
