Think Tank Photo M 24-70 V3.0 Overview

Protect your camera and lens with the Hydrophobia M 24-70 V3.0 Rain Cover from Think Tank. This cover has a DWR (Durable Water Repellent) coating and is made from three layers of material for durability. It is also seam-sealed for added protection against rain, sleet, snow, sand, and dust. Fold it down to fit into the included compact carrying pouch and slip it into your camera bag so you're prepared in a downpour or sand storm.

This cover will fit over a mirrorless full-frame camera with a 24-70mm f/2.8 or similarly-sized lens attached. It has a non-slip, adjustable strap that cinches to the lens hood so it stays put once in place. It can be used while shooting atop a tripod or monopod and has an oversized window for viewing your LCD and controls. Additionally, two cinchable sleeves provide easy access to your camera functions.

An eyepiece flap folds into a visor or shields the viewfinder from rain or dust when not in use. An eyepiece pocket is built into the bottom of the cover and the separately available eyepiece allows full access to your viewfinder while protecting your camera.

The integrated shoulder strap lets you wear the camera on your shoulder with the cover attached. It can be replaced with your favorite strap if desired.

Fits over a mirrorless full-frame camera with a 24-70mm f/2.8, 24-105mm f/4, 16-35mm f/2.8, 14-24mm f/2.8, or similarly-sized lens

A solid typhoon bag

I like this bag, material is heavy - not that thin fabric that becomes saturated and eventually leaks. It doesn't come with an eyepiece so don't forget to order that. If you shoot video like I do the tripod arm is not going to fit very well. It will stick out the back and the bag won't fit as well. If they had made an accommodation for that I'd put in 5 stars. The carry strap just gets in the way - remove it. The lens cover is good for walking to your spot in the rain. The two side hand entrances are sort of difficult to get your hands in a little, you have to weave your way through the elastic - it's not as easy as it could be. I would have made them shorter and not as much elastic on the ends, maybe let them flop downward? If you just shoot stills this bag is 5 stars, if you should video remember the tripod handle is going to be the awakward part. If not for that, it's the best bag out there. Actually the best bag is no bag, then you start adding on features and it becomes harder and harder to use. Somewhere in the middle is where you want to be - protection but easy to get to the controls.

I haven’t had the opportunity to use it in the rain as of yet, but it fits well and is made well. I wont use it much in sunny California, but when you need it..... invaluable.

The Think Tank Photo Hydrophobia M 24-70 V3.0 Rain Cover is compatible with the Canon EOS R5 Mirrorless Camera, but you must use the camera's LCD screen. This is because there is not a compatible Think Tank Photo Hydrophobia Eyepiece.

Will the ThinkTank M 24-70 rain protection sleeve work with the Sony A6XXX series of mirrorless cameras?

Yes technically it will, the coldshoe part that locks in the cover to the camera will be slightly off center but it'll work.
