  • Minimum Height: 4.2"
  • Folded Length: 10.4"
The CTT-1000 Carbon Fiber Tabletop Tripod from Oben is a three-section support with carbon fiber-constructed legs, which have twist leg locks that turn and enable you to extend the legs to a maximum height of 15.5". Even with the legs fully extended, you can remove the ball head and screw on the included three-section extender that adds 12" in height. This extender places a camera at a higher shooting angle for recording an interview or shooting a portrait. To supplement more stability to the 0.98 lb tripod, the legs splay further out to a minimum height of 4.2". Removing the extender, collapsing the legs, and placing the head back onto the legs gives the tripod a folded length of 10.4". Each leg has a rubber foot, which prevents the tripod from sliding on smooth surfaces and the rubber feet are removable, which reveal spikes to stabilize the support on soft terrain.

The dual-action ball head is Arca-type compatible. You can unlock the movement and position your camera at a 90° angle with the cut notch located on the side of the head. Additionally, the ball head includes a quick release plate with a 1/4"-20 camera mount.

Small, lite weight, easy to pack/carry. Great for small projects or small spaces. Works great to hold cell phones for social media or ring lights.

I have bought 3 tripods for European travel and this one works best for me. It is stable, easily transportable and, light enough for all day carry. I mainly use it for inside churches and night shots with long(ish) exposures. While it does not extend to a high position, it works best by setting it on a church pew or flat surface. Due it its light weight and easy portability, I always have it nearby. I purchased a police mace holster to carry it on my belt - comfortable and handy! Great purchase!

A photo instructor was on the money. It is good for selfies. Use it with a light camera.

I was looking for a small, portable tripod to take to an upcoming Disney trip. I wanted something that would easily fit in a small backpack, yet rugged and sturdy enough to support my Canon Mirrorless with a couple of different lenses. This had the weight supportable I wanted (11 lbs), is light (about 1 lb), and extensible (not not overly so, so I felt it would be sturdy through its range of heights). I was NOT disappointed! As I hoped, the tripod is VERY stable. I tested it with my Mirrorless camera and my heaviest/bulkiest lens (Canon 100-500, and heavier than my walkaround lense) and found that it could hold it in place without any issue at all. (I recommend aligning the tripod so that one of the legs is directly under the lens or camera body). I also set it up with my everyday lens (Canon 24-105) and an even lighter Canon 50mm and, obviously, it works splendidly. My only negative comment (if you consider it one) is that the smartphone adapter doesn't add any value to the package--at least for my needs. My iphone 12, with it's Otter box case, doesn't fit within the range of opening the adapter (landscape). The only solution is to remove the case, which is not something I see myself doing with any regularity. Obviously, even with the case removed, the phone wouldn't fit in portrait orientation. That notwithstanding, I'm very happy with my choice and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to add a strong, lightweight, versatile tripod to their bag.

It's good enough for what I need.

On the one hand, the height adjustment is phenomenal. I can sit comfortably and use this with binoculars on a table top. It is extremely light. It seems well made. And, I am pleased with it. On the other hand, it transmits every vibration to the binoculars. Put your eyes to the binoculars and it is buzzing. Try to focus does the same thing. It's very annoying. All that said, I would buy it again for it's size, capabilities, and weight.

Cute and Solid Design GET THIS!

I had a cheap plastic SONY tripod that broke after a number of years. Plastic fatigue. Tragic. You know, you don't even see the warning signs. Then, life, everything, changes so suddenly. It can come from out of nowhere. You know? That thin white like that cracks through your tripod like it cracks through your very heart!? I never wanted to experience that feeling again. But I also didn't want to spend over 100 bucks on a desktop tripod I was going to use for streaming. But I know, cheap is expensive. And I was not going to put myself through that SONY experience again! Life is TOO SHORT! TOOPRECIOUS! This is a sturdy metal design and will probably be something my children's children inherit from me. Maybe man himself will gaze upon this tripod years after the blood of my family has run thin in the veins of man, and marvel at it. Metal housing and plate. Metal screws, and twisty metal tripod legs with tasteful rubber feat. This tripod brings me joy. And is currently holding my GH5 with 12mm Leica Lens. That lens is expensive and rare, but I trust this tripod with it. And one day I hope to trust a human with my heart as much as I do this tripod. I want to buy another one just to have for fun shoots. I don't think it's practical though. But then again, I am a romantic and will probably buy another one. It also has a bubble leveler, that isn't in the greatest spot to serve a purpose, but - hey! Nobody's perfect.

I use this when I am carrying minimal equipment and need a sturdy tripod. I have used it effectively to take group shots indoors and outdoors. Doesn't replace a large tripod but the light weight good height adjustment (given that it is a tabletop tripod) does exactly what I need it to do. I haven't had any problem with it handling the weight of my camera, regardless of the lens.

I won't think it would be a problem, but if you had to, you could check it at the gate. Make sure you have it in a nice padded bag.
