Designed for long-range shooters who are out in the field from first light through into late dusk, the Steiner 5-25x56 M5Xi Riflescope offers a suite of thoughtfully crafted features that will give you the confidence and precision you need to place shots accurately down \range, including: A powerful zoom range, an oversized objective, a specially designed partially illuminated long-range reticle, and a wide elevation adjustment range.

The combination of oversized objective lens and broadband multi-coatings maximizes the light-gathering capability and transmission throughout the entire visible spectrum—enhancing reds and blues at the spectral edges, while also providing shooters with an ability to see deep into the shadows that come out with the dawn and at twilight. Complementing these features is an exceptional zoom range that gives you the option of engaging targets at closer range at 5x, or to scan the landscape for game, with the ability to dial up the magnification to 25x for positive identification of even small targets at extreme long range.

The heart of the riflescope is made up of the exposed finger-adjustable tactical turrets that offer a precise 0.1 MRAD impact point correction. On the elevation, Steiner utilizes their DuoScale turret that enables two full rotations that take you through the wide 26 MRAD adjustment range, but unlike conventional multiple-rotation dials, the second rotation dial raises up to cover the first dial so the turret profile remains low. Detents and audible clicks allow you to keep track of adjustments without taking your eye from the ocular and hard stops at both ends of the adjustment range prevent you from getting lost on the dial. A combination turret for the parallax and reticle illumination control conserves valuable space while making those adjustments easy and intuitive.

Designed to withstand the rigors of the trail, the M5Xi is built with a robust 34mm one-piece maintube made of lightweight and durable aluminum. The housing is nitrogen filled and sealed to make it submersible to a depth of 33 feet and resistant to internal fogging in extreme weather conditions and temperatures. An integrated lever on the zoom collar makes it easy to set the precise magnification even while wearing gloves.

Optical Performance
  • Optimized for medium and extreme long-range tactical applications
  • Broad 5-25x zoom magnification range allows users to scan landscape on low power, then increase power for close-up observation and identification of distant subjects
  • Large 56mm objective is optimized for long-range and low-light use, ensuring views remain bright and clear, even when observing subjects at extreme long range on high magnification
  • Broadband anti-reflection multi-coatings boost light transmission to greater than 94% across the entire visual spectrum to enhance low-light performance
  • 22-foot field of view at 100 yards on 5x power, 4.2 feet at 25x
MSR v.2 Reticle Details
  • First focal plane placement maintains reticle subtensions at all magnifications
  • Version 2 of the FinnAccuracy MSR (Multipurpose Sniper Reticle) duplex crosshair is specifically designed for long-range use
  • Long outer posts on horizontal and upper vertical axes, thin aiming hairs with stadia on all four axes, and center illuminated aiming cross
  • Lower vertical axis has a long hair all the way down with ranging, BDC, and holdover stadia
  • Lower left and right quadrants feature fine milling scale and rapid ranging scale
  • Illuminated cross completely disappears when turned off for unobstructed view
  • Partially illumination with 11 selectable levels: 1-4 when using NVDs, 5-7 for nighttime operations, 8-11 bright settings for daylight operations
  • Runs on one included CR2450 lithium battery
Turret Details
  • Exposed finger-adjustable tactical turrets enable fast reaction to changing conditions in the field
  • Precise 0.1 MRAD impact point correction
  • Wide 26 MRAD elevation adjustment range, with two turret rotations of travel, is optimized for extreme long-range shooting
  • DuoScale elevation turret: The first 149 clicks are shown on the first dial; when turning past 149 a second dial raises up to indicate clicks from 150 to 260—this helps to maintain a low profile while offering a wide adjustment range
  • 12 MRAD windage adjustment range
  • Adjustments are indicated by detents and audible clicks so they can be tracked without looking away from the eyepiece
  • Hard stops at both ends of the adjustment range prevent shooters from getting lost on the dial
  • Combined parallax and reticle illumination brightness dial conserves space for easier and more intuitive use
  • Illumination dial has "Off" positions between each intensity level to preserve battery life and make returning to preferred level fast and easy
  • Side parallax adjustment turret from 164' to infinity is easy to use from virtually any shooting stance or position
Use and Handling
  • Integrated zoom lever provides easier magnification adjustments, especially in cold and wet weather or while wearing gloves
  • Fast-focus reticle produces sharp focus when changing from mid to long range
  • Long 3.5 to 4.3" eye relief provides a generous eye box for comfortable use and mounting placement flexibility
  • Wide 9.8mm exit pupil at low to medium magnifications ensures views remain bright and clear at high power and low light
Construction Details
  • Large-diameter 34mm single-piece maintube provides the room required for the wide elevation adjustment range and the durability to withstand the recoil generated by the high-caliber rifles used in long-distance shooting
  • Lightweight and strong aluminum housing helps to offset the weight of the large objective
  • Anodized matte black finish reduces glare and blends with all environments
  • O-ring sealed to make the riflescope waterproof and submersible to a depth of over 30 feet
  • Nitrogen filled to be resistant to internal fogging when moving through extreme changes in temperature or environmental conditions

question

can this scope be put on a 6.8 mm SPC rifle?
Asked by: Anonymous
Yes you can the The Steiner 1-5x24 is calibrated for 7.62 (.30) caliber rounds. It will work just fine with your 6.8 SPC which I imagine is built on an AR platform.

question

Does it still operate without the battery?
Asked by: Sean F.
The Steiner 3-15x50 Military Riflescope will not operate as intended without the battery. The point of the scope is to have an illuminated reticle. If there is not battery you would not have an illuminated reticle. There are 11 reticle brightness settings 7 for night & 4 for day. Without a battery none of them would work defeating the whole purpose of the scope.
