Furthering its merits, the optical design features two extra-low dispersion elements and three aspherical elements, which reduce a variety of aberrations and distortion to produce imagery with high sharpness, clarity, and accurate color rendering. Both Nano Crystal and Super Integrated Coatings are used, too, to suppress flare and ghosting for greater color fidelity and higher contrast.

Does the lens barrel on the Nikkor Z 35mm f/1.8s move in/out when focusing, or does the barrel stay internal when focusing?
Internal and the length does not change. And the front does not rotate and easier to use polarizers.

If you're happy with the lens you're using, then save the money. If you need to move to a new lens then seriously consider the Nikor Z35 F1.8; great bokeh, super sharp and fast focus as you'd expect from a prime lens.
