Is the ball head mount plastic or metal? I want ...

Is the ball head mount plastic or metal? I want to Attach the Rhino RV Pro Traveler slider to the tripod. Center mounted my 3.5 camera rig will travel 8" from center. Will the mount bend or fail under the torque?
Asked by: Jordan
The ballhead is metal. This is not a great choice for a slider + a camera unless you have two tripods and are mounting the slider to both ends rather than in the middle. Typically, the likelihood of it ballhead moving under torque will depend on the weight of the gear you are mounting and the resulting torque due to the position of its center of mass. As the tripod itself is more compact, it is best suited to smaller cameras and lenses and not for heavier-duty video peripherals.

is the mount on the ball head plastic or metal. I want to put the RV Pro Traveler slider on it with a Canon 5D mark 4 and the Canon 16-35mm lense for Timelapse. Center mounted the 3.5 lbs that the camera + lense will travel is 8" from center. Will there be too much tourque on the mount and cause bending?

Can my sigma 24=70 art lens be attached to this?
Asked by: juanita
The camera attaches to the tripod head, not the lens. If you are asking if this tripod will support the weight of your camer and lens, it depends on which camera as well. This tripod supports 13lbs, so it will most likely support your gear.
