The Peak Design CL-3 Clutch Camera Hand Strap quickly connects to and disconnects from your camera with a dyneema anchor and a tension clip. The strap wraps around your hand and can be easily adjusted with your non-shooting hand for making it tighter when you are walking. Or loosen it when you need better access to your controls while shooting.
An included Arca-type compatible quick release plate attaches to your camera tripod mount, and one of the included anchors can be tied into the plate. Simply slide the Anchor into the Link to attach the strap, and slide it out to detach it. To attach the top of the strap to the top of your camera, a custom-designed tension clip acts as a small carabiner. The strap can be adjusted from 7.1 to 11.4".

Peak Design CL-3 Reviews
Disappointed
I own lots of gear from Peak Design and am a fan of their products. This is the only item that was a disappointment. I have a Sony A7rV camera and the triangular attachment does not fit the holder in the camera. Given that all new A7 cameras have similar metal holders and how popular these cameras are this is a surprising oversight on the part of peak design.
Great, but...
I purchased this bc my husband preferred to hold the camera instead of it hanging off his neck. So I bought 2 (one for myself since I'm a neck hanger and I thought I'd try the handheld). Another commenter stated that it worked great w their L-bracket so I thought, "Great!". Well, unfortunately, it doesn't work with the ProMediaGear L-bracket. The anchor links have no place to loop through, if you don't use the provided PeakDesign base plate. FYI: The RRS base plates have a place to connect to, if you have a Canon R5/R6 base plate. So, I'm a little bummed about this.
Works exactly how I hoped
These work perfectly. I needed them to be quick easy and sturdy that that is what they are.
Works as advertised
I bought this about a month ago and am very happy. I attached this to an Olympus mirrorless. I find it works well for me, but others might find it not quite right as it is a bit tight to curl the finger around to the shutter release. This is well noted in their great instructional video and was a risk I was willing to accept for the added security of the clutch versus a strap I wrap around my arm a couple times. Next purchase will be the belt clip. Amazing range of products.
Comfortable and secure
I bought this last month and the clutch works great easy to wear and adjust on the fly .
Works great. Very useful for run and gun
I use this on my R5C and Smallrig Black mamba cage. Helps hand held shots a lot when you don't want to mount it on a gimbal. Only wish I could tighten it a bit more as my hands aren't as big.
The Clutch Improves All Camera Grips
I've had my clutch for some time now. It's moved from my 5D mark 4 over to my R6 and I love having it on a camera so much that I'll be purchasing an additional one so I can ensure I'll have one on each camera I may be shooting with. What I love about the clutch is that it takes an excellent camera grip and adds a 100% certainty that you won't drop or otherwise lose your grasp on that grip. I love the way the 5D mark 4's larger grip feels in my hand, and the same with the R6 deeper but slimmer grip but the clutch gives me a certainty that I won't accidentally drop my camera. It takes a minute to adapt to having it on the camera, but once you do, it's a phenomenal and inexpensive buy, plus with Peak Design's anchor links, you can still have the option for a normal camera strap. Overall, the system is very well designed and takes any camera strap system and gives it that little extra versatility. On a final note, the clutch also works perfectly with battery grips so a professional on the go can also get some great value out of their gear even when shooting outside a multiple camera professional setting. Great work Peak Design!
Clumsy attachment system
I’ve recently purchased both the clutch and the leash. I really like the system with the anchors. However, for me, the spring system on the adjuster used to attach and detach the Clutch onto the eyelet of the camera is a nightmare. I find it extremely difficult to hold down the spring and remove the strap from the adjuster. I can’t understand why Peak Design did not create a Clutch with anchor attachment on both sides
