The black Bee 50-C Open Face Omni-Color LED Light from Hive is a versatile 1.5 lb LED light source that measures just 5" in length and 4" in diameter making it a great choice for tight spaces with minimal support requirements. Although the 50-C can accept PAR reflectors and a Leko attachment, this fixture-only version of the light has a 180-degree beam angle for very wide coverage.
Control is the key word in the construction of the 50-C. Hive uses Perfect S.H.O.T. controls, a propietary term for complete control and adjustment of every aspect of light output. Part of the success of the system is due to the use of 5-LED chip blending. Instead of the traditional three colors, Hive uses red, amber, lime, cyan, and sapphire for nearly infinite color combinations with a high CRI/TLCI rating of 98 and 97. Color can be adjusted from a very warm amber 1650K to an icy blue 8000K. But control doesn't stop there. There's 360-degree hue adjustment around the color wheel, as well as 0 to 100% saturation control. The 50-C can also be dimmed from 0 to 100%. While these adjustments can be made manually, you can also make them remotely via your smartphone or onboard wired or wireless DMX. Thanks to its 100 to 240 VAC power supply, the 50-C is ready for worldwide use; but it will also run on optional 12, 14.4, or 14.8V batteries (60Wh or higher) when mains power is unavailable
The Clip-On Fresnel Set for the Bee 50-C or Wasp 100-C LED Lights from Hive Lighting contains three simply-mounted modifiers that alter the 180-degree beam angle of the open-face version of these lights. The Wide, Super Wide, and Medium lenses clip individually onto the lights creating three distinct beam angles that when considered together, approximate the range of an adjustable Fresnel.
