Updating a classic for today's imaging standards, the Nokton 50mm f/1.2 Aspherical from Voigtlander is a fast normal-length lens for M-mount rangefinder cameras. Distinguished by its bright f/1.2 maximum aperture, this lens excels in low-light conditions and also offers enhanced control over depth of field. The advanced optical design incorporates a pair of aspherical elements and one partial dispersion elements, which, together, help to suppress both spherical and chromatic aberrations for greater sharpness, clarity, and color rendering. Additionally, its manual focus design permits working with subjects as close as 2.3' away, and the 12-blade diaphragm contributes to a pleasing bokeh quality.

Voigtlander Nokton 50mm f/1.2 Aspherical Reviews
An excellent lens if you like the look
The build quality is top. The MF is great. The image quality and size of the lens also great! If you like the 1.2 look. I found it just made the images look unsharp or out of focus too much. I found myself stopping the lens down, which of course starts to hit the lens sweet spots. However, the 1.5 offering is fraction of the weight and size and at f2 / 2.8 both are very good. Mind you, this lens has girth and weight to it (although much much much more compact than AF lenses with any aperture)
Smart Buy
Great lens at a fair price. Outstanding Japanese optics for a fraction of what a Leica will cost you. This 50mm is a smart choice for Leica rangefinder cameras. It's sharp and it pairs well with the M10's 24-megapixel sensor. My rangefinder calibration was spot-on with this Voigtlander.
