Shortly: it just works as it should, so i can prolong life of all my L-series lenses without any problems. A little disappointment is that combined with OM-EF adapter, I am unable to make AF Confirm work. I don’t really understand why, because AF works with my EF lenses and the same OM-EF adapter works with my other EF body… not a major problem though, because focusing MF lenses having magnified image on the screen is easy enough to get good results.

will this adapter allow an EF-m lens to work on an on the R10? Canon says The camera cannot be used with EF-M lenses.

No, the Canon Mount Adapter EF-EOS R is used to adapt EF-lenses to Canon RF cameras. Unfortunately, there is no way to mount EF-M lenses on Canon RF cameras.

Is there any rotational play/wiggle/slack with EF lenses with this adapter, or is the adapter tight and doesn't have any play?

ABSOLUTLEY NOT! On multiple lenses from 16-35mm ef to my 400mm f2.8. I bought 2 since I have a lot of L series Ef lenses! Image quality up to 24-36 enlargement does not seem affected.

This adapter is meant to be used with Canon "EF" and "EF-S" mount lenses, including third party lenses (Sigma, Tamron etc.). FYI - "E" mount is associated with Sony's mirrorless l cameras.

Yes, I use it on an EOS and it works great. Canon also makes additional adapters for EF lease on the EOS R cameras, one that adds a control dial and one that allows for drop-in filters.
