When shooting video, and a battery is depleted, does the camera continue to record when switching to the next battery (without stopping and having to press record again)?
A battery grip like this allows 2 batteries to act as one for double the power. One battery will not run out and the other take over, at least not from an operation standpoint. When the battery grip runs out of power, you will need to charge both batteries.
