The L4S LED Light Box from Huion is designed to let you trace artwork and designs using built-in lighting. This is about the right size for previewing slides or negatives before scanning. It's only powered by USB-C but that's not a problem for me. The LED is nice and bright for any application. Great product!

Got here quickly and works like it should. This is a very nice corded light box. Light weight and adjustable brightness. Easy to use.

It has even led lighting. The A4 size is great for traveling. I use a 3500 mAh battery bank to power it, giving me the ultimate portability. I really enjoy using this pad for my pattern designs and finishing work.

I purchase the light box so that I could digitize old black and white negatives. Using my camera mounted on a tripod above the box I am able to capture very good images.

I bought this to use as a quick and inexpensive way to digitize my old 4X5 negatives. Put them on the light pad, shoot a digital, invert the tones, done. Much cheaper than buying a scanner with the capability for 4X5s.

Re.USB wall adaptor please add the appropriate one to the Accessories section so don’t have to go looking as the link you show doesn’t work?

The Huion L4S LED Light Box is powered via the USB port on the unit. The item comes with a USB cable to connect to your computer to power the unit. The manufacturer does not include an AC adapter with the unit, but any standard 5W (or higher) USB AC adapter may be used to power the unit using the included USB cable. For a USB AC adapter recommendation, the Xuma 2.4A USB Charger with Folding Prongs, B&H # XUCAC124, would be compatible for your usage needs.

I want to digitize 4 x 5 b&w negatives using my Nikon D850. Will this work as a light source? Anyone with experience using the D850 negative digitizer - would you use a 4x5 enlarger negative holder or would you tape the neg to light box?

Thank you Daniel - very good suggestions. I always capture images using raw. Digitizer will only yield jpg fine. Can I use Photoshop Camera Raw Filter with jpg fine?

With my D500, Micro Nikkor 40mm 1:2.8 G and ES2 adapter, will this lightbox produce enough brightness to copy slides at ISO 100 with a higher aperture than f4.5?

Huion L4S LED Light Box has a dimmer option. You can adjust the brightness upto 1500 Lux / 745 cd/m² Maximum which will be more than needed under 100 ISO at f/4.5. You can adjust the dimmer until you get the correct light exposure for your slides.

Is this big enough to hold an entire sheet of PrintFile 35mm slide pages to view all the slides in the sheet at one time?

The lit screen is big enough to display 24 framed, individual slides, (4 rows of six slides). This means, it does not display an entire slide film of 36 images. (I don't keep my slides in sheets.)

Unfortunately, the CRI for this modest, entry level lamp such is not listed. We would suggest that the color accuracy of this cannot be expected to be the same as professional lamp and thus will be less than a 90 CRI.
