Merging the widely acclaimed sonic performance of the ATH-M50x with up to 40 hours of convenient wireless playback, a foldable, travel-friendly design, and one-ear monitoring capability, the black Audio-Technica ATH-M50xBT M-Series wireless headphones offer pro-grade build quality and audio performance for professional studio-based production, location recording, DJing, podcasting, and daily listening anywhere you go. Outfitted with 45mm large-aperture dynamic drivers and an over-ear, closed-back design, the ATH-M50xBT headphones deliver clarity, deep bass, and extended bandwidth (15 Hz to 28 kHz) while isolating you from outside sounds.

Thanks to the 90° swiveling earcups, pro-quality materials, and generous cushioning on the headband and earpads, the headphones are both durable and comfortable to wear. Handle hands-free calls using the built-in microphone and earcup buttons, which also let you control volume and music playback. With a simple touch of the left earcup, you can give voice commands or make requests of Siri or Google Assistant on your mobile device. A carrying pouch is supplied with the ATH-M50xBT for convenient storage and transport of the headphones.

Go Wireless or Wired
The ATH-M50xBT harnesses the legendary M50x studio sound for an exhilarating wireless listening experience with aptX and AAC codec compatibility. If your battery is running low, or you need to connect to a wired audio source, you can convert the ATH-M50xBT into a pair of wired headphones with the included 3.9' cable. This 3.5mm TRRS cable includes an in-line mic and controls so you won't lose the ability to manage your audio or conduct hands-free calls.
40 Hours of Battery Life
The built-in LiPo batteries have enough capacity to power the ATH-M50xBT headphones for up to 40 hours of continuous playback. When you finally do need to recharge, just use the included 1' micro-USB charging cable.
Onboard Mic and Controls
A built-in microphone and button controls are built into the left earcup to allow for easy handling of calls, music playback, and volume adjustment. Also on the left earcup, the integrated touch panel activates the speech recognition feature for easy access to Siri for iOS devices or Google Assistant for Android devices.
45mm Drivers
The ATH-M50x features proprietary 45mm large-aperture dynamic drivers with rare earth (neodymium) magnets and CCAW (copper-clad aluminum wire) voice coils for high-quality sound reproduction.
Tuned for Clarity and Deep, Accurate Bass
The drivers and headphone design work together to provide a sonic signature tuned flat for exceptional clarity throughout an extended frequency range along with deep, accurate bass character. With a frequency response of 15 Hz to 28 kHz, the ATH-M50xBT can reproduce a full spectrum of tones.
Over-Ear, Sound-Isolating Design
The ATH-M50xBT utilizes a circumaural design that contours around the ears for excellent sound isolation in loud environments. This over-ear, closed-back style is optimal for reducing bleed and separating you from outside sounds.
90° Swiveling Earcups and Foldable Design
Equipped with 90° swiveling earcups, the ATH-M50xBT ensures a great fit and allows effortless one-ear monitoring, a welcome benefit for DJs and singers. The earcups fold up to meet the headband, saving space during storage. A carrying pouch is supplied for protection and convenience while transporting the headphones.

If I wire this headphones with a coiled cable to a Scarlett Focusrite, would I get a good response?

This headphone offers an impedance of 38 Ohms. We cannot recommend any modifications, but unmodified it will work well with the headphone output of the Focusrite Scarlett family of USB interfaces.

If the product does not work or other malfunctions occur, refer to “Charging the battery” (p.6) and connect the USB charging cable. Make sure the cable is carrying power.Disconnecting and then reconnecting the USB charging cable will reset the product and should resolve any problem you are experiencing. If the problem persists, please contact your local Audio-Technica dealer.Resetting does not change any of your settings (pairing information, volume setting, etc.).

What are the technical drawbacks of this headphone compared to the version without bluetooth, considering that this one is described as consumer and the other is for critical DJ and studio job?

Bluetooth is inherently flawed. It works well much of the time, but is less than perfect often. I've had issues with various Bluetooth headphones on my head, and phones in my pocket. I still use it sometimes. It's just not perfect. A wired, or cabled connection is far more reliable.

No it will not. The wired version cable is designed for phone calls and is electrically different.

Not all extension cables are the same. Pay attention to the plug that plugs into the head phone jack, it doesn’t allow all standard tips to fit all the way in. The jack on the head phone requires a turned down shaft to allow the plug to fit all the way in.
