Manfrotto Reloader Tough-55 High Lid Reviews
Well Built - Just Delivery Had Hiccups
Received this after running hoops with shipment and customs - but the actual product itself and the packaging from B&H cannot be faulted - this is a well built product. The clasps and the handle release at the back are a bit hard - something I am hoping age will cure with use. The quality of the top foam inside is good and the high lid option I feel is more hefty and robust than the low lid (I purchased 1 of each - both are well built by the way - this being a relative statement); the partitions inside are satisfactory and this really does carry itself well with smooth wheels. Overall recommended - I only wish B&H got the shipping part corrected as I did pay premium for same.
This camera roller bag is very useful.
I bought this bag because I have travelled around the world using soft case camera backpacks to transport my camera equipment that I take with me as carry-on baggage. I have had it for about one-year at the time of this review. The backpack approach was simply not doing the job when I brought along more camera equipment -- I have numerous small and large camera backpacks -- all have their place but they really are not a good solution for anything more than a simple trip. So, I thought I would try this product from Manfrotto. What an excellent decision! This is purpose-built to carry and protect camera equipment. What I particularly like about this product is that is large enough to fit camera body(s) and multiple lens and other necessary equipment (filters, batteries, cleaning gear, data transfer device, data hard drives, etc) -- but, the product is small enough to bring with me as a carry-on. I have taken it on domestic flights in numerous countries and, of course, long-haul international flights. An added benefit from the smaller size is that I 'must choose' what to bring with me -- and this bag keeps me focused on what is necessary and not taking a lot more than I need. The one 'nit' I have about the case is the way you slide up and extend the handle so you can pull or push the carrier. The process to pull up and extend the handle could be made easier. The overall quality of the case is excellent. The hard sides protect equipment very well. The material is a bit thinner than a pelican case but this also makes the equipment less heavy on the weight scale -- which is a must for some domestic flights. I want to emphasize, the case is very sturdy and does an excellent job protecting my camera equipment. The interior of the case has considerable padding and adjustable padded compartments that allow you to customize the interior for what gear you are packing. Depending on what trip I am going on I will readjust the interior compartment for my specific equipment -- it is very easy to do this. Good luck. And, please, do not shoot all the good shots! Please leave some for me.
Great case for tough travelers
Great case for traveling. It will pack and protect your necessary camera equipment. If you have lots of equipment then this might not be your case, but if you fly or travel rough roads this case is a must.
