Like its predecessor, the Badger Unleashed has a compact 5 x 5 x 7" form factor an at 4 lb is lightweight as well. Convenience features include a Bowens S-Type front accessory mount, making it compatible with the many manufacturers that produce products with this popular mount. The Badger Unleashed also has a built-in pop-up softbox ring that makes for very fast setup and a frosted glass-domed flash tube that exhibits the very even light dispersion that's so valuable when using softboxes. Lightweight with a small form factor, impressive performance, as well as control and power options make the Badger Unleashed hard to beat.

Built-In Battery Power
Equipped with a 2900mAh battery offering cable-free portability, 430 full-power flashes, and a 90-minute recharge time from exhausted to fully charged.
Compact Form Factor
Size and weight are crucial for the mobile photographer. The Badger Unleashed weighs in at under 4 lb, measures just 5 x 5 x 7".
Extended Power Range
9-stop power range, the same as the S1, and two more stops than the original Honey Badger. Power can be adjusted from 250Ws down to 1Ws in 1/10th of a stop increments for precise exposure.
Fast Recycle Time
At full power, the Badger Unleashed recycles in just 1.5 second. Recycle times get even shorter as you decrease flash power.
HSS and TTL
HSS enables shutter speeds up to 1/8000 of a second, while TTL metering automatically adjusts flash power to create an accurate exposure. TTL mode also provides +/- 3 stops of exposure compensation.
LED Modeling Lamp
The 15W LED modeling lamp produces 1250 lumens, and can be used as a continuous light source for both photo and video applications. The daylight-balanced LED can be adjusted proportionate to the flash power, or set to full power.
Built-In Radio Receiver:
Features a built-in radio receiver that is compatible with all Interfit TTL and manual remotes. This allows full control over the light's power range, flash mode, modeling lamp, and beep function.
Versatile Modifier Mount:
Uses the popular Bowens S-Type accessory mount, making it compatible with all your favorite Interfit modifiers. Made popular by the original Honey Badger, the Badger Unleashed also features a built-in pop-up softbox ring.
Glass Dome Diffuser
Includes a frosted-glass dome diffuser that protects the flash tube and helps to spread light evenly throughout larger modifiers.

WARNING!! DO NOT PURCHASE THESE LIGHTS IF YOU OWN A NIKON Z6II. THEY WILL NOT WORK WITH THE NEWER NIKON MIRRORLESS CAMERAS. I HAVE CONTACTED INTERFIT AND THEY HAVE CONFIRMED THAT THE STROBES REMOTE DOES NOT FUNCTION WITH NEWER NIKON MIRRORLESS CAMERAS. Sorry for yelling, but its important to know if you are thinking of getting these strobes and own a newer Nikon mirrorless.

I've had 6 of these. Great price, and when they work they work wonderfully. But of the 6 I've had, 3 have failed. So, sadly, not reliable.

I love these lights I like how small they are so they're easy to work with and make portable. But I have bought five of them and three of them have failed.

Wouldn't Synch w/ Interfit Trigger

Bought this because I saw how well it worked with another photographer. Wouldn't synch with the Interfit trigger I bought with it. Tried to troubleshoot with B&H live video chat and they had the same issue with their unit out of the box at B&H on camera. Something is going on at Interfit. They say they aren't responding to emails.

I was really looking for to using this light kit. After a single shoot, the second light stopped working and we ran into issues with the lights overheating. The customer support for Interfit is pretty awful, calling was the only way to get a response.

It is worth noting that the flash will not work with TTL nor HSS with the interfit S1 manual remote. The camera specific remote that enables these features is not currently for sale on BH, Amazon, nor Interfit's website. To use the flashes at all you must contact Interfit and have them downgrade the software before they will connect to the S1 remote. Huge hassle and with that I cannot recommend this product. If you are able to buy the proper remote though, the flashes seem to be built well and the Bowens mount is an advantage compared to Godox offerings.

Paperweight until INTERFIT -chooses to sell Canon remotes!!!

I have the universal remote and standard Honey Badger----no issues. ZERO. This even if roll back firmware whihc is NUTS That they think even that is ok to ask ppl... Doesnt work without the camera specific remote it requires per BRAND. ---- as of 2/22/23 Several years after they had some supply issues its still Unavailable anywhere even Ebay ... I emailed them and they responded in ANGER to me that no its wasn't discontinued... AVOID this PAPERWEIGHT unless you own a Canon or other specific remote - BH cant stop selling it since technically it will work if you have the 3 years unavailable controller. I am switching to Profoto and not buying budget garbage like this anywmore.

I liked these because they were easy to use, but it's not worth it because I've had five of them and three of the five had failed very quickly. Of the two I still have, both fairly new, the model light doesn't work on one. I think this company is just not making good products. They told me that they would give me free repair but of course I have to ship it across country at my own expense and it could take months. Not worth it.

What is the trick to getting the Godox Standard Reflector 7" to work on the Badger Unleashed?

The trick is in the naming semantics of the Godox 7" this reflectors. This one will work https://bhpho.to/2KaE4AN simple and easy. This one the Standard 7" has a grid standard sized 7" face but is not so standard on the mount as its for the AD600B and AD600BM https://bhpho.to/2PSvjya.

What could be the angle of coverage? I am trying to figure out if it would have enough spread with a 48" softbox to cover dancer group portraits (maybe 6 front row, 6 back row). Any suggestion appreciated.

The extruded flash tube and glass dome creates an almost 180˚ spread of light, so filling a large modifier is not a problem. As for your particular application, a large translucent umbrella may be a better option than a softbox.

Can I use the Godox X Pro trigger for this strobe?

If you own a Godox X1R receiver, you may connect the receiver to the 1/8" (3.5mm) sync terminal on the side of the Interfit Badger Unleashed Battery-Powered Flash Head. This would allow you to use the Godox XPro Transmitter with the Interfit Badger Unleashed Battery-Powered Flash Head. However, do note this will only allow you to trigger the monolight; you will not be able to control the flash output with the Godox XPro remote, and you would not have TTL automatic flash output power. You would have to set the flash output power manually. If you need to control the flash output from the flash trigger, you would have to purchase the Interfit flash trigger for your usage needs.
