General Features

Color Accuracy and Resolution

UHD 4K Resolution

UHD 4K (3840 x 2160) resolution offers a great amount of clarity for fine details and depth of subtle textures optimized for visually intensive work in animation, visual effects, graphics, and photos.

True Colors Right Before You

Devoted to meet the latest professional color standard, BenQ has developed AQCOLOR technology to uphold the concept of "Accurate Reproduction." BenQ has invited a color expert to lead the team, and also joined ICC (International Color Consortium) and ISO (International Standard Organization) to establish color-related standards and implementation.

Reference-Grade Color Performance with 10-Bit, 100% sRGB and Rec. 709

Covering 100% of sRGB and Rec. 709 color spaces, the PD2700U's advanced IPS wide viewing angle technology minimizes color shift to inspire greater design confidence. 100% sRGB color gamut accuracy adheres to industry standards in digital production, and Rec. 709 reproduces accurate resolution, frame rate, color gamut, gamma, and white point performance in high-definition video work.

Professionally Factory-Calibrated for Color Accuracy

Each BenQ Designer Monitor is individually factory-calibrated upon production to assure precise Delta-E and Gamma performance. Calibration results are validated against industry color standards to deliver the truest and most representative view of original content. Calibration eliminates slight color performance variations between individual panels of the same model. Therefore, the calibration data of each report will vary slightly from reports from other displays of the same model.

HDR10 (ST2084) Support

BenQ's DesignVue PD2700U is equipped with HDR10 technology to let designers preview video content's HDR effect during the editing process, helping to ensure desirable outcomes for their final works.

Simple, Functional Design for Increased Efficiency

Offering greater contrast for lines and shapes in technical illustrations, CAD/CAM mode accentuates fine details to produce increased display performance in Pro/E, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, or other design software.

Animation Mode

Often problematic for designers working with intricate details in dark images, Animation Mode enhances the brightness of dark areas without overexposing bright regions. Animation mode provides 10 levels of display brightness to clearly bring out subtleties in ambient lighting.

Darkroom Mode

Adjusting image brightness and contrast for greater clarity and sharp details, Darkroom Mode creates improved settings for work in darkened post-processing environments.

Smart Efficiency and Productivity Enhancers

Keyboard Video Mouse (KVM) Switch

KVM Switch functionality allows users to display and control content from two different PC systems on one screen using just one set of keyboard and mouse to save space and boost work efficiency.

A Daisy-Chain Configuration for Greater Productivity

The BenQ PD2700U is a daisy-chaining enabled display equipped with multi-stream transport technology (MST), allowing you to extend your notebook's screen across several displays using its DisplayPort output for a multiple monitor setup. You can appreciate the boundless views from PD2700U's edge-to-edge design with minimal bezels on all four sides.

DualView Mode

Improve your workflow and enhance productivity by switching on DualView to showcase designs in two modes (sRGB and CAD/CAM) side-by-side without the need for two screens.

Caring for Your Eyes

Eye-Care Technology

BenQ's eye-care technologies help reduce eye fatigue for user comfort, enhanced productivity, and workplace safety during extended use.

Eliminate Eye Strain in Ambient Light

Brightness Intelligence Technology (B.I.Tech.) monitors ambient light in your viewing environment and actively adjusts screen brightness for a comfortable viewing experience.

Low Blue Light Technology

BenQ Low Blue Light Technology is designed to filter out harmful blue light, effectively diminishing eye fatigue and irritation.

Flicker-free helps eliminate flickering at all brightness levels and reduces eye fatigue effectively. Conventional LCD screens flicker at the rate of 250 times per second. Your eyes may not see the flickers but they can certainly feel them. So relieve your eyes from the uncomfortable flickering effect by switching to a BenQ flicker-free monitor.

This monitor is plenty big enough and the calibration tools are very easy to install and use. It's completely revamped my workflow when using my editing softwares both photo and video.

Received and using 2 BenQ PD2700U, ordered a 3rd

After researching for some time for a reasonable priced good quality 4k monitor for our architectural firm I settled on the BenQ PD2700U. I originally purchased two monitors and after a couple of weeks in use we ordered a third. Great on screen adjustability whether your viewing CAD files, images, text documents and everything in between there seems to be a setting that suites the job.

Total piece of trash

Wow, this is the worst monitor I've ever had in my life. Brand new and two weeks in it starts to flicker, then it gets worse, images freeze on the screen, as in I can see my email behind another desktop. See photo attached. Absolute waste of money.

Dark edges, flickering and ghost text, epic fail.

Brand new out of the box and the edges are darker than the rest of the screen. I discovered its called vignetting and happens because the of bad brightness uniformity. Sadly, on most monitors, you won't be able to fix it. Also this was nowhere close to quality of my mac monitor, it started out good enough to go with my new M1 Mac Mini but, after a couple of months intermittent flickering and phantom text started. Poor quality, can't recommend this.

Works well and looks sharp. Using it primarily for non-designer type workstreams. Would recommend for any profession that looks at a computer screen for a good portion of the day.

I got this monitor to use with my 13 MacBook Pro for photo editing and it works great. The photos are much easier to edit due to the size & clarity. The colors on the BenQ are outstanding.

really great monitor. only down side is that some of the features don't work on an M1 Mac. hopefully they'll provide firmware for that soon.

Not for M1 Mac without compromises

By Andrew

The BenQ pilot software is not currently compatible with M1 Macs (Jan 2022). Daisy-chaining through the display port won't work since Macs don't use this. I did not test if usb-c to DisplayPort would work to daisy chain so there may be a work around. In the end, I used 1 HDMI port and 1 usb-c port for 2 monitors so not a huge issue on a new M1 Max 16 Mac Pro. The color is spectacular and my 2 monitors have very good neutral and accurate color straight from the factory. No more color shifts in the whites and grays that I saw on my dated Samsungs. The only downside that I can see it that the USB-C versions are way more pricey and that the stands for the monitors seem a little short. I had to put something under the stands to raise the height to the correct amount. Instructions are pictographs and left out that you have to tell the monitor which input you are using. It was an annoying 20 minutes of no signal before I figured this out.

The colors seem inaccurate. I have done much configuring and I just can't seem to get accurate colors. My GPU is a rtx2080ti I've ensured that windows color configuration is off I've ensured nvidia control center color settings are at default (rgb-10bit-full output) I've downloaded the official PD2700U ICM color profile from BenQ's official site, and set it via windows color management. Out of the box, (that means after factory calibration) and after ensuring all of the above. I am left with a slightly yellow tint most visible over whites and greys (I've also experienced this on a 1080p BenQ GW2780). After much tinkering, I've found the best way to remove the yellow is to set my blue channel brightness to 52%, and blue channel gamma to 1.03 via nvidia CP. Another glaring issue, EVEN IF I RESET BACK TO DEFAULT, reds come through as orange. The only way I can find to combat this is to set all channels digital vibrancy from 50% to 80% using nvidia CP, which absolutely is not right as this causes lots of color clipping on the Lagom monitor test. I'm really struggling to get good color on this monitor, is anyone able to help me?

Working a 2019 16" MacBook Pro that also runs windows via Parallels ~50% of the time. (CC on MAC / Powerpoint on Windows) 98% of what I create ends up on-screen, (not much ends up on paper anymore). A lot of solid color graphics with corporate standards/guidelines so I have targets to match and so far "outta the box" everything is solid. Maybe ya just got a bad one, see if they'll replace it.

Image retention on LCD panels is not permanent, and can be avoided by turning off the screen when not in use or utilizing a screen saver with 3 minute timer. These methods can also serve to clear out any existing image retention as well.
