Characterized by its unique, slightly longer-than-normal focal length and fast design, the XCD 80mm f/1.9 from Hasselblad is a 63mm equivalent prime designed for the X-series of mirrorless medium format cameras. The distinct focal length and bright f/1.9 maximum aperture are especially well-suited to portraiture, and pair with the 2.3' minimum focusing distance for isolating subject matter with shallow depth of field. Like other XCD lenses, the 80mm f/1.9 has an integrated Central Lens Shutter that is capable of shutter speeds up to 1/2000 sec with flash sync at all speeds, and its autofocus design can be manually overridden for fine-tuned focusing control.

Hasselblad XCD 80mm f/1.9 Reviews
80mm
good glass sharp smooth focus , heavy, I like it for out door shooting
10/10
A must have for the x system. Amazing bokeh and rendering, perhaps better than the 75mm M leica noctilux. Hassy color science is insane. Would rec a grip with this lens on the 907x. Decently fast autofocus.
Great lens!
Love this lens! The quality holds up to the H series lenses from Hasselblad. My only complaint is how loud the focusing can be. Both the autofocus and manual focus make a bit of sound. Otherwise great lens, sharp across the frame at all exposures. Obviously gorgeous bokeh wide open.
Good
Versatile and specialized, overall excellent. The autofocus is overmotored, resulting in some jiggle and focus slip at times.
Stunning
This will go down as one of Hasselblad’s best portrait/intimate lens ever. Both in terms of sharpness and bokeh. It’s impossible to overstate how good this lens is. I must say it is also an absolute beast. I use it on my 907x and when I first put it on I must say it was a noticeable heft over my 40mm and 21mm Hasselblad lenses. That said, it’s still my favorite HB lens, and quite possibly my favorite lens of all time. If you see it in stock buy it quick, the rabbit’s out of the hat with this lens so they don’t last long before they’re sold out.
Big glass
It's a big lens, solidly built and with beautiful drawing wide open and very sharp edge to edge particularly after you get to f 4. It's pricy but worth it if you need the look.
This might be H's best lens ever made
Sharp as a razor and seemingly faster to focus than others in the XCD series. In just moments, I fell in love with this hunk of glass and wish I hadn't waited so long to go for it. Can't wait to see how it renders under the winter redwood tree cover where I spend most of my time shooting.
A beast
It was a struggle to choose between this and the 65mm f2.8. This lens is as heavy as a Sony 70-200 and priced way above the 65mm, however I ended up getting it because I know I would be constantly thinking about this lens if I acquired the 65mm instead. At wide open, the image is a bit soft as expected similar to all the fast lenses I owned and it is the look I know I won't get from the 65mm. The color of this lens on 907X 50C is nature and vivid, the sharpness has nothing to complain, the focus ring turn is a bit short for my taste but fine, the bokeh is round and full and the focus speed and sound are on par with other XCD lenses I own. There is nothing mechanical I will critique other than the heavy weight for a a little size senior like me. I only wish it has mechanical focus ring like 45p. Is this a lens I need, no, but it is a pleasure to use and it puts smile on my face.
