great fit

This is a nice product. I usually just wrap camo cloth around my lens and secure them with rubber bands but with the 500 5.6 it proved difficult so I decided to give LensCoat a try. The fit was great! A little expensive but I'm glad I made the purchase.

Too expensive

Bottom line: This LensCoat cover is overpriced. The cuts for the various sections were not straight, which I found to be disappointing. I guess it will still do the job of providing a little protection for my lens.

Works fine as expected. It protects the lens and a side benefit it helps hold the lens steady against a tree or window glass if shooting from the car. We have two on different lenses and one in route from B&H for a 3d lens.

First time for buying a lens coat, I love it fits great and easy to put on, stays in place and with it being cold now makes it a lot better to handle...

Stitching comes apart in less than 6 months!

Within 6 months of purchase the stitching gave out around the vinyl window which resulted in the neoprene fraying and coming apart. I own many lenscoat products and have never experienced this kind of poor workmanship on any of their other products I have.

Excellent lens protective cover. 4-stars only because an excessive price for these common neoprene pieces.

The lens cover comes in six pieces that get installed sequentially. They went on easily enough and fit well. They are a little thinner than I had expected, but I really had no basis for that expectation. The cover should protect against scratches and scrapes, but will not provide a lot of cushioning for harder bumps or any protection from weather. Experience will tell whether I can manipulate the switches on the lens through the clear plastic windows or decide to remove them. All in all, I think i feel better about having the coat on the lens than I would not having it.

Hi all. Some tricks for punching accurately the holes thru the neoprene fabric for to reveal the memory recall buttons? Thank you.
Asked by: hoan
I contacted LensCoat concerning your inquiry. According to LensCoat, they state most people find they can feel the buttons through the neoprene. However, if you do plan to cut into the neoprene cover, it is best to try to make a circular hole to prevent tearing. If you have a hole punch, that might work. Typically, the pieces stretch so the hole you make can be smaller than the button you wish to press.
