    Vuze XR Reviews

    XR 3D VR180° / 2D 360° 5.7K Camera (Black) is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Incredible 5.7K 3D 180VR and 360 pano.. but how to use it... Small and 5K?  Yep.  The Vuze XR has two 180 degree lenses that when folded into the camera, front and rear, produce 360 panorama stills, video and live feeds.    Press a button and they pop-out like two human eyes giving you 180 3D VR at 5K. I am a professional photographer in Connecticut that presently used SONY A7 series, Matterport Pro2 System and various DJI drones in my trade, mostly on real estate.  I wanted to kick-it-up to the net level with 3D 5.7K VR.  The Vuze XR was a natural choice. The EASY part is taking an image, video or looking at it live.  The Vuze can edit (on itself) in 4K but not 5.7K which has to be done on a computer. Thats the hard part.soon  Im a 1st time VR-er.  This is my first VR camera. Humaneyes Technology LTD, the Israel-based company behind this product has an app called VuzeVRStudio.  Its not ready for prime time YET.  Nor are there tutorials on how to USE the studio YET.  Coming soon , I hope. I searched YouTube and there were plenty of Unboxing videos and simple, basic reviews but nothing in depth for what you do after you take the shot. Their tech support (Trevor) is awesome and very responsive.  Trevor send me some this is how you do it emails and assured me that some video tutorials were on the way soon.  Dont forget that I mentioned that you can do basic editing and publish to social media directly to the device, connected to a computer or phone.  Ill try that tomorrow. Meantime, this is outstanding technology, reasonably priced and with unique features that I had to have. The non-removable battery charges by a USB port.  The XR comes with a high quality USB cable.  The on-board Lithium Ion battery lasts about an hour and recharges in about 3 to 4 hours.  I have several battery banks, my favorite is the Feelle 25,000 mAh battery bank, about the size of a cellphone and with 4 solar panels built-in.  The Vuze can charge and shoot at the same time, so its easy to have the Feelle in your pocket with a USB cable attached from it to the Vuze XR for extended shooting times. Humaneyes also makes higher-end, 8 lens, 360 VR models. I will update this review as I find out how to professionally edit and publish the output (from my iMac desktop),

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely Amazing! I bought the XR to replace my Lenovo Mirage camera and I was absolutely amazed by the difference. Colors are crisp and details are sharp and the added benefit to taking 360-degree photos during trips is great. A friend has a $3000 Z-Cam and the XR easily matches it. The only downside is the lack of audio in but the microphones seem to be rather good and a quick EQ setting during editing brings out the lows.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pro Videographer / 180 VR is the New Frontier 180 VR video-making has quickly become my favorite way to capture life. With a portable VR tripod, you just set it up and walk away. Finally Im able to get in the shot, too. Much more compelling way to capture life than a typical camera rig that you operate. The VUZE XR is the camera to get right now. No complaints at all about this product. Auto capture does a great job in most scenarios. Not the best low light performer, however. No complaints at all about this product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Of you build it... ...we will come. Been following your last couple ppl lets products and have been totally impressed. This is my first endeavour in Xr and it has been easy a blast and while not 360vr (which is limited for my purposes but I totally need it!) It still does both sharp 180binocular.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Meh So, check this out. I own two other less pricey 360 cameras. They work relatively well. Although, the quality isnt quite as good as I want it to be, they still work. By work I mean do not disconnect when streaming or even before you start recording. The Vuze sucks for continually disconnecting on its own without any interference. I can say that much right off of the bat. It disconnects automatically and it takes time for it to think about reconnecting. That being said. If this technology has that problem before we can even get into the brass tacks of general user functionality, I will tell all of you to pass on this product. When, we. The consumer, purchase products we expect the bare necessities of at least connectivity without any interruptions or problems. And, from what I can tell, the firmware that is available right now as of April 2, 2019. This problem still hasnt been resolved. Why? If that is the case. Im cautioning all of you consumers like myself. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. Run the other way. Dont get suckered into a flashy pop 3D camera and its psuedo versatility. If its really as versatile as it looks. It should at least be capable of connecting to your devices. And thats the rest of the story.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 360 degrees of pure awesome Wow, what a high-quality device. Were using the Vuze to capture 360-degree videos of our new electric vehicle. For a totally new kind of car, these videos really put the viewer IN THE DRIVER SEAT. Its really a one-of-a-kind experience, and a perfect way to test drive a vehicle on the coast of Oregon without actually being in the vehicle. (Keep a spray bottle full of ocean mist to squirt your friends when they put on the VR goggles for added effect.) Things I love: - The Image. As high-res at it can get. We are driving past beautiful Oregon waterfalls and its like you are there! Its basically a VR GoPro. - The tactile feel. This is a high-end, sexy device. It feels great in the hand, though I recommend using a tripod or monopod (walking VR shots can cause motion sickness). A good monopod will be invisible in the shot, even if the user looks straight down. Really ups the overall quality. -- Super easy to use. Just click photo or video, choose 180 or 360, and capture.  -- Stabilization features. Take this thing for a run and it will reduce the up-and-down so the viewer doesnt barf. Really cool tech and no idea how it works. Magic? -- Transfer raw files to the computer. A USB C to USB C cable works perfect for the Macbook. You can also use an SD card reader, which my Macbook doesnt have. Cable works just fine.  -- The Vuze Studio Super simple, easy to use software. Im not a video guy at all but had no problem importing the files, making a few cuts and edits, and rendering the final file. It also has pre-set options for uploading to YouTube and Facebook -- our primary uses. I would have no idea how to do this myself.  -- The Price. If youre creator or business and VR works for you, this pays for itself. We use the VR video to show investors and the sheer cool factor of the video is almost as good at selling the vehicle as a test drive in the actual vehicle!

Can this camera live stream 2D 180 degree video ...

Can this camera live stream 2D 180 degree video continuously for 30 minutes - in 4k 60fps? If not can it just record 2D 180 degree footage in 4k 60fps?
    Asked by: Heinrich
Hi Heinrich, The Vuze XR can live stream continuously for 30 minutes as the battery lasts for about an hour. If you find yourself in need for more time you can always plug in a power bank and continue using the camera. Please feel free to contact us at support@vuze.camera if you need anything else. In 3D mode does it write two separate files? What file format?
    Asked by: Ted
When capturing footage in VR180 it is a .mp4 file in SBS. 4K@30fps is rendered in camera, all else requires VR Studio(software) rendering.

Will this camera shoot in true 3D that is compatible with my 3D TV?
    Asked by: Dennis E.
Sravan Kumar's answer is correct - at least as of now, to the best of my knowledge, there's no way to convert VR180 footage to 3D TV footage. To be clear, you can watch the footage on your 3D TV as-is (say, via YouTube), but it will look the same as on a regular TV - flattened to one view. That being said, there's no technical reason whyVR180 could not be converted - it'd just have to be the facing-forward view, with no ability to "move around".

I can't guarantee that you can stream for 3 hours (I'm not sure how hot it might get) but absolutely you can record with it while it's plugged in (I've done so).
