PDMOVIE 19 to 15mm Rod Adapter Bushing (PD Movie)

This 19 to 15mm Rod Adapter Bushing from Ikan fits into the 19mm rod bracket for PD Movie motors, enabling you to mount the motor on a 15mm support rod. The bushing is split, allowing it to compress, so it is easier to fit into the 19mm opening. The bushing's textured finish improves grip, and a contoured lip holds the bushing in place inside the rod clamp when not mounted on a rod.

Split in bushing allows for compression
Textured surface reduces slip
Contoured lip helps prevent bushing from falling out of the mounting bracket when not in use

Couldn't tell on the pictures if the two controller were knobs or if one was a rocker. Also, if wanting to control zoom, can we control the speed of the motors? thx
Asked by: Ben
This unit uses thumb control and does not have a rocker. The two-channel controller has a push/pull lever for zoom, and a fingerwheel that can be used for focus or iris. Speed can be set to allow for very smooth zooming capabilities.

Can you power the finger wheel via usb?

Can you power the finger wheel via usb?
Asked by: NICHOLAS
Some versions of the PDMovie use a BlueTooth signal between the controller and motor. The motor must be powered with a 12-14 VDC supply, but the controller is rechargeable, and can be powered via a USB connection.

Can this be used to control zoom?

Can this be used to control zoom?
Asked by: Keith
Yes, the PDMovie PD can be used to control zoom. In fact, that was my primary reason for investing in this system. I use Sony A7 cameras with (mostly) standard zoom lenses for video, especially with a Sony 100-400/4.5-5.6. The zoom ring has adjustable tension to keep the lens from sagging, and it is necessary to use the lowest setting. Internal zooms, like the 70-200 and 200-600 work well as-is. The setup procedure is easy, and maps the zoom ring limits to those of the controller knob. Once set, it is easy to do a crash zoom to a subtle effect within a clip. It's important to use a lens support on the rails with a large lens. It helps keep the lens from moving sideways against the torque of the motor, and ties the rails together for better stiffness.

What is the button with the green/red light on the Remove Live handle? Can it start/stop the camera?
Asked by: Charles-Elie
From the manufacturer. The Green Light or Red Light indicates Channel Assignment- you can have 3 motors and 3 controllers working together simultaneously. The button is used for lens calibration, channel assignment and motor speed. Please refer to the image of the motor for the parameters of the button.

Is there a way to power the control motor off a ...

Is there a way to power the control motor off a Movi Pro?
Asked by: Clay
The PD Remote Live is powered from a 12-14 VDC battery via a D-Tap connector, which comes with the motor/controller package. Power is connected to the motor, and the motor is connected to the remote controller with cables and 4-pin Hirose connectors. The Movi Pro has two D-Tap outlets, which can be used for this purpose. This is not to be confused a PD Remote Air controller, which is connected via BlueTooth, and use internal rechargeable batteries, with no provision for external power.

Can I attach the controller to the Crane v2 Duel ...

Can I attach the controller to the Crane v2 Duel Handel accessory?
Asked by: Sean
The controller has a large screw clamp which will fit practically handle or grip, and is easily operated with your thumb or finger. The real problem is the motor itself. The motor must be mounted on a rigid 15 mm or 19 mm rod, preferably using a cage or mounted to the base of the camera. Smallrig makes dual rod adapters for that purpose. Secondly, the motor has two rather heavy cables - one to the controller and the other to a D-Tap battery (power source). These cables would affect the balance and limit the range of motion of the gimbal. There are BlueTooth motors and controllers which would eliminate the cable problem, but you still need a rigid support. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1412525-REG/ikan_pdl_af_live_air_single_motor.html
