Should you need more storage, you can connect external storage solutions using its USB and Thunderbolt 3 ports.

Its 15.6" display features a 1920 x 1080 resolution, wide 178° viewing angles, and thin bezels for clear details and an immersive viewing experience. You can also use its HDMI port to connect a separate display for enhanced multitasking and larger viewing. Moreover, the display supports touch gestures and inputs for increased accessibility. Other integrated features include 802.11ac dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, a microSD card reader, a fingerprint reader, a webcam, speakers, microphones, and backlit keyboard, a combo audio jack. The operating system installed is Windows 10 Home.

Design
The ZenBook Pro 15 features a solid aluminum unibody design with a spun-metal finish. Moreover, it measures just 0.7" thin and weighs 4.1 pounds, so you can easily take it anywhere you go.
Display
The 15.6" display on this system features a 1920 x 1080 resolution, wide 178° viewing angles, 100% sRGB coverage, 95% NTSC coverage, and 7.8mm thin bezels for an 83% screen-to-body ratio to deliver a more immersive viewing experience. Moreover, it supports touch inputs and gestures for enhanced efficiency and accessibility.
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 10-Series Graphics Card
NVIDIA's GeForce GTX 10-series graphics cards can deliver up to a 40% increase in performance over the previous generation. Not only are they powerful, they can deliver similar performance to their desktop counterparts with a slight performance difference. This changes mobile gaming, allowing you to max out your game's visuals settings so you can enjoy it at its best. Moreover, this graphics card is VR-ready so you can use it with your favorite VR headset.
Thunderbolt 3
Thunderbolt 3 is a hardware interface that utilizes the reversible USB Type-C connector. Doubling the speed of its predecessor, Thunderbolt 3 features a maximum throughput of 40 Gb/s when used with compatible devices. The connector also transmits data via USB 3.1 at up to 10 Gb/s, and dual-bandwidth DisplayPort 1.2 allows you to connect up to two 4K displays simultaneously. Additionally, you can daisy chain up to six devices from a single Thunderbolt 3 port.
Cooling
To keep things cool, the ZenBook Pro 15 is equipped with an efficient dual-fan cooling system and three heat pipes.
Audio
This notebook features hardware and design from the Asus Golden Ear team and audio specialists at Harman Kardon to deliver an impactful listening experience whether you're listening to music, watching movies, or playing games.
All-Day Battery
The 71 Wh lithium-polymer battery can last up to 9.5 hours of use. The ZenBook Pro 15 also has fast-charging technology that can charge it up to 60% capacity in just 49 minutes.

Windows 10 Home

Start Menu
After its hiatus in Windows 8, the Start Menu has returned. Utilizing a combination of the traditional menu system and Windows 8's Live Tiles, the improved Start Menu gives you more information at a glance, showing notification information alongside your applications and other pinned items.
Cortana
Microsoft's digital personal assistant, Cortana can answer your questions with information gleaned from both your device and the internet at large. You can type or even talk with her, if your system has a microphone. Using her Notebook, Cortana keeps track of your needs and wants, and she learns over time to improve her information gathering skills.
Microsoft Edge
After nearly 20 years, Microsoft has finally replaced its Internet Explorer web browser. With Microsoft Edge, users can write directly on web pages and share notes with friends and colleagues. It also improves the online reading experience by adding a distraction-free mode and read-it-later functionality. Edge also has built-in Cortana integration; you can have her help you find a restaurant, make a reservation, and pull up directions without leaving your browser.
Windows Store
For Windows 10, Microsoft has unified the Windows Store. Now, apps for PCs, tablets, and phones will all be accessible from one place. And with support for Universal Apps, one version of an app can work across all your compatible devices automatically.
Windows Continuum
Windows 10 was designed for a variety of screen sizes and input styles, and with its Continuum feature, it automatically adapts to fit your needs. A Windows 10 tablet on its own requires a touch-centric approach, but attaching a mouse and keyboard will shift everything to a more traditional interface. You can even attach an external monitor to your Windows 10 phone for a near-desktop experience. But it's not just the operating system; Windows Universal Apps take advantage of Continuum as well.
Xbox on Windows 10
Gaming is a big focus of Windows 10. Xbox integration allows for PC players to match up against Xbox One players on supported games, and if you have an Xbox One, you can even stream compatible titles to your PC. Native support for recording with the new Game DVR feature makes it easy to capture and share your gameplay. The new DirectX12 takes better advantage of multi-core processors, giving games a performance boost, even on older hardware. Windows 10 also features native support for virtual reality headsets, such as the Oculus Rift.

    ASUS Pro 15 Reviews

15.6- ZenBook Pro 15 UX550GE Multi-Touch Notebook (Deep Dive Blue) is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful machine at half macbook price I got this for portable documentary editing and a general portable work computer as backup for my workstation. Have not put Adobe Premiere Pro CC through a full multilayered with color correction edit paces but for normal editing seems to handle it with ease. No complaints. Fans kick in a lot but it is a thin model with a powerful chip and GPU. Love the screen - its the normal not UHD and it's still sharp as a tack and color accurate, weight is good but be forewarned the power comes from an added small brick. about twice in size and weight from what I've come to expect. Pushes weight up more to 5lbs But overall: a great price for a machine with so much computing speed and graphic power and it's elegant as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent laptop with just a minor nits Box came next day with no issues and in good shape. Getting through the Win 10 install was a breeze. As usual, Win Updates took some time. I had some questions for B&H as I had not purchased from here before. They were extremely pleasant and had timely answers to all my questions. Note: I noticed ASUS firmware as one of Win 10 downloads. I checked post updates and the ASUS firmware installed is the latest version. So that was a bonus. I much preferred to save the $$$ and get this with the FHD display. It also extends the battery life. If I want 4K I will go out and get a 4K external monitor. I think it can support two 4K externals (need to double check). Just a note: B&H appears to be the only place you can get the ux550GE with FHD, at least that I could find. This may be custom build for B&H by ASUS. The display itself is vivid and bright. It is also Pantone validated (color accuracy - do a search if interested). System is fast. The 6 core i7 is tough to beat. Wireless worked with no hitches and I was getting excellent throughput from my ASUS RT-AC3200 router with no hiccups. Laptop comes with a dongle for wired USB-Ethernet, I used it today at work with no issues. A number of people have reported coil whine and overheating/cpu throttling.  I experienced neither (lucky?). See next. Ran 3D Mark tests for a straight 30 minutes, and while the underside did get very warm to almost hot, the laptop did not throttle. 3D Mark pushed it pretty hard. The GTX 1050 is good enough for me, as I play mostly older games. Plus this card will be great for photo editing. Fans definitely kicked in during the 3D Mark tests, but were not obnoxiously loud. During day to day activities, such as Web, DOCS, ssh sessions for me, the system was completely quiet and I am not sure if the fans came on or not. NITS: Are all livable. Battery could be a bit better. After about 5.5 hours today at work the battery was at 17%. At that level I plugged it back in. But this will be mostly on a desk, so it is not a major concern for me. This thing is a fingerprint magnet. Keep a cleaning cloth handy.  Keyboard could be a bit better.  Not terrible, but does not feel quite as solid as I would prefer. Overall I am highly satisfied. We will see how it holds up over time.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from very good performance, sound and screen, sometimes delay in just a week using it. excellent performance fast and responds to the most demanding easily. the fan turns on occasionally with a tolerable sound. the small edges of the screen are appreciated. the sound is excellent. just a problem the cursor when the pad is used does not respond in millisecond intervals. as a delay. it does not happen with mouse

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Great PC with great spects. Ive been using it for nearly a week and theres nothing to regreat about it. Its really a very nice PC and it worth it. You could easily compare it with the XPS 15, and this one is cheapear and it feels as premium as any other laptop over 1000.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Overall A Very Good Experience This was the first time I made purchase from B&H and overall it was a very good experience.  There was a little delay with the check out process because I was shopping on Friday night and trying to place the order as well without knowing the online store usually closes Friday night till Sunday morning.  But the product and price B&H offered was unbeatable comparing to all other retailers.

Is there any way to connect a single 4k monitor and get 60fps?
    Asked by: Elazar
At that frame rate, a 1050 series can only push 60 fps at 1080p. At 4K that would be significantly lower.
