Peak Design Everyday Sling 5L Reviews

Fantastic camera bag for short adventures

I bought this bag for my Nikon Zfc and a few small lenses. I can fit a tabletop tripod, lens cleaning kit, spare batteries, and a few other accessories. It makes a perfect grab-and-go camera bag for short adventures (following the kids around, going to a baseball game, taking photos of friends, etc.) If you want something lightweight, compact and ultra-portable but that still carries one of your favorite mirrorless cameras, this is a great choice.

Bought it in 2018 for vacation when i bring my sony a6000 with kit lens and a prime lens. Perfect for everyday use with or without camera, keep my stuffs well organised. After covid when i need to use again, the zipper broke and Peak Design send me a 6L sling!! Thumbs up for the after sales service!

I just took this on a trip to Alaska and was very pleased with it. We got rained on really badly the one day and everything in my bag stayed perfectly dry. It was also comfortable to wear and fit my camera and three lenses (one is small).

Best sling I've ever had!

I thought slings were just not made for me or women, but this one is so comfortable. I wish it was a bit bigger, but works for me when I have my a7IV and Sony 40mm 2.5 and remove one insert. I also carry my iPad mini and a few other things like cleaning accessories. V1s are definitely more roomy than v2s, but this one works for lighter loads. Love it!!

This bag is nicely designed and just about the right size. I have a Nikon mirrorless with a zoom lens and it just fits. very comfortable and easily adjustable.

Finally a camera bag that doesn't look like a camera bag but is just as practical. Construction quality is great, the v2 improved comfort but didn't increase price or lose any of the great features like the adjustable shoulder/hip strap that can stow on the back for tidy hand carrying.

The best size for a casual carry

I bought this with the 45L; I love how it's like a little imperial shuttle when paired with its 45L Star Destroyer. I use it not just for travelling overseas, but also on a day-to-day commute. When the main zipper finally gave way, it was like saying goodbye to a dear friend. Thankfully Peak Design spared no efforts in helping me to get it replaced and me back on my daily adventures. I highly recommend not just this sling, but the brand in general. Of course. if I have to nitpick, as we all should for premium products like this, is that the serial numbers of PD's products can be hard to get hold of. I had to wrestle with the bag to catch a glimpse of the serial number to register it for warranty. Of course, in recent years, the newer products come with a separately tag with QR code to make this process easier.

Great little bag

I use this sling bag to hold my M10P and a couple extra lenses, small wallet, keys etc. Its very comfortable and light weight compared to my leather camera bags. I also like the reassurance of knowing if I get caught in heavy rain my gear is protected. Great buy for the money.

The 5L will be too small. The 6L is smallest I'd go, and that would be a little tight. The 10L would be the best option.

Is there a tripod hook up on this bag like what the 6L has?
Asked by: Leomar
No, it does not. The 5L is a Version 1 (v1) Everyday Sling. The v1 10L has the straps, but the 5L does not. They added strap loops on all the v2 Everyday Slings, and included the straps as a removable accessory.

Will binoculars fit in along with a mirrorless?

Will binoculars fit in along with a mirrorless?
Asked by: John
That will depend on the size of your binoculars, the size of your mirrorless body, and what lens you have on it. I keep a Canon SL1 w/ 18-135 STM lens attached, and there's not much room left over, except for batteries and lens pens in the internal side pockets. I'll also use it to sling around a Canon 70-200 f2.8 (w/ lens hood reversed), and that thing uses up every bit of internal space. So that will give you some good size reference.

Would this bag work for a Sony rx 10 IV?
Asked by: Gordon
Yes. I don't think it would have problem for a Sony RX10. I used it for Sony A7C along with a Sony shooting grip, I still have room for sunglasses and battery etc. There is a divider that you can adjust in the middle. I also used it for a bigger camera Fujifilm XT-3 without any problem.
