The Manfrotto Nitrotech N8 Video Head & 546B Pro Tripod kit features an innovative counterbalance system based on a nitrogen piston mechanism. Unlike heads where the counterbalance clicks into place at set levels, the Nitrotech N8 can be precisely adjusted to the weight of your camera rig. With a maximum payload capacity of 17.6 pounds, the N8 is suitable for use with a variety of video cameras. Head features include a sliding camera plate with safety lock, fluid-drag pan and tilt functions, and an illuminated bubble level. This 75mm flat-base head can be used with the included half-ball adapter for maximum flexibility in mounting to the tripod, or to a slider, hi-hat, or other support.

The 546B Pro Video Tripod with Mid-Level Spreader is a two-stage, 75mm-bowl aluminum tripod. This tripod can support up to 44 pounds and it has a height range of 12-61". Its mid-level spreader stabilizes the legs while allowing for some clearance above the ground. The 546B's spiked feet come with rubber overshoes, enabling setups on both smooth floors and uneven surfaces. The spreader can be detached, and each leg can be adjusted independently for use on a staircase or other location with varying-height surfaces. A padded bag is included for carrying this tripod system.

Nitrotech N8 Video Head & 546B Pro Tripod with Mid-Level Spreader is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Fluid Head on a great tripod. The fluid head is really smooth when moving during both x and y axes. Once properly balanced the tripod will hold a given position regardless of how much the camera is tilted up or down and regardless of camera weight (within limits) and how loose or stiff the drag resistance is set for, which is fantastic. The quality is fantastic. Everything is nice and tight, seems very strong, and over all well thought out. There is a neat little light to backlight the bubble level. Balancing takes about a minute simply because you have to first loosen the adjustment for the counter balance system requiring quite a number of turns to fully loosen. The drag resistance also strangely uses counter intuitive, counter clockwise turns to tighten and clockwise turns to loosen. The head uses Manfrotto's plate 504PLONGR which is a pain if you are using Arca Swiss style plates and requires an adapter or mounting an Arca style clamp to it. (I bought a ProMediaGear PM501 adapter and while it is a great product, it was not long enough for my needs). The tripod is relatively light weight for what it is. The mid level spreader seams flimsy, but as long as you don't abuse it, it should be ok. The tripod locks are easy to set up and require minimal time to set up. The 75mm ball head adapter is pretty smooth however I have trouble keeping my slider level, but I understand the problem is probably that I am trying to use a Large Edelkrone SliderPlus Pro with Wizard Module mounted with the fluid head with a Canon 5d mk iv. (The one downside to the Edelkrone SliderPlus is that it shifts most of the weight over to one side or the other leaving none of the slider on the other side to counter balance it or to mount a second tripod)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tripod for my Ursa Mini Pro The head is great and holds my Ursa Mini Pro and accessories up without leaning forward if I forget to lock the tilt. The legs are pretty good too, though not a light setup (like a carbon fiber set would be). This was a great deal when I got it and the head has a flat base, allowing me to mount it to my slider.
