CAMEOGEAR LENSCHART20 Overview

Designed to optimize the focus of high-definition equipment, the 20" CAMEOGEAR Resolution Analysis Chart offers a measurement solution for cameras and lenses that are up to 2K, in any environment.

When focusing on the patterns, your camera and lens can fine-tune your focus at any focal length. It can also help color match your cameras and scenes with skin tones, grayscales, and the three primary and three secondary colors as represented on a vectorscope. The result is the ability to determine high contrast, fine lines and patterns, and minimal color or black fringe artifacts to achieve sharp, accurate focus.

The chart provides markings for various aspect ratios such as 16:9, 1.85:1, 2.39:1, and 4:3. Because the chart is printed in frame-relative units, there is no need to know the distance between the focal plane and chart or even the lens focal length for accurate comparison measurements. There are also slant edge targets provided for MTF (modulation transfer function) analysis.

Discrete, logarithmically progressed frequencies provide accurate, easy-to-read focus for all focal lengths and all resolutions.
Circular patterns and a symmetrical layout reveal differences in resolution across different axes and areas of the frame.
Multiple aspect ratios are represented in markings for 16:9, 1.85:1, 2.39:1, and 4:3.
Colors and grayscale markings provide colors correlating to the six primary and secondary axes on a vectorscope, as well as skin tones and progressive grayscales.
The chart provides frequencies for testing up to 2K resolution.
All resolution measurements are printed in frame-relative units of Line Pairs per Picture Height (LP/PH), so no knowledge of the camera's sensor dimensions is needed to get readings that can be compared to readings from a different sensor. As a result, it is not necessary to measure the distance between the camera's focus plane and the chart or know the precise lens focal length to get accurate readings.
The chart provides slant edge targets to support software MTF analysis.
