I got a new smartphone w/o a headphone jack. What a dilemma - found a review that recommended this device and wow it's so nice. uses the same USB as my phone to charge.

Good sound, reasonable price

I've been enjoying using these with my favorite headphones. Reasonable sound quality, especially considering the price.

Pretty good

Does what I wanted it to do, has good controls and connectability. There's a faint white noise sound when listening sometimes but that seems to be a Bluetooth limitation. Also occasionally has a crackle of interference feedback, but it's infrequent and is better than the cheap adapter I had previously that did that CONSTANTLY. All in all, worth the $30!

Awful for phone calls

First off, the device I got was black, not white. That's fine by me, but what I can't get past is that it does not work for phone calls. I bought this after reading the NYT's Wirecutter review on it and I can't believe they thought this was any good. Best case scenario: the mic sounds tinny and quiet to everyone on the other end. More often, the person I'm calling reports a horrible echo that goes away as soon as I unpair the device. I've tried this with multiple headphones and clip positions with the same result. If you're just getting this to listen to music, it's... fine. Audio quality noticeably is noticeably deteriorated from a wired set of headphones, but that's to be expected. Overall, I would not purchase this again, and I would return it if B&H wasn't so slow.

Absolutely Perfect

Perfect form factor and simple to use. Ideal for using wired headphones, earbuds and audio line-in Power efficient on idle and playback. Simple 3-button control when paired to smartphones and has a decent quality microphone making it good for phone calls. Battery life is about 9 hours with moderate use in my experience. NFC is an excellent bonus if you have multiple NFC devices, this allow you to quickly switch between audio sources that have NFC. This product doesn't need additional features so it can retain its simplicity and any future revisions/version should just be to improve battery life and, use future Bluetooth/NFC technologies while retaining compatibility for older versions of said technologies. I hope this product will continue to be manufactured in the far future and come in more colors.
