Good quality and sturdy for what it is. Easy to set up and tear down for moving around studio

These are amazing, but cheaply made.

Everyone loves Vflat's, they're great. I just got my first set. Fun to use, easy to setup, great results. Taking them apart.. my first time breaking down one vflat of the pair, and the velcro ripped the paper right off the styrofoam, and i was trying to be extremely gentle. If you use vflats, be prepared to repair them, because they're not that well made. I'd also think for a $200 piece of foam core, they could have done a better job with the velcro, maybe put a piece of plastic around the corner too, i'm sure these are going to get banged up, they're super fragile. You can make these with foamcore, tape, and spraypaint, and probably get a sturdier product for 1/4 the price.

Bad handling

I ordered these and received in a bad condition. Ripped off from some places. Scratches and foam is coming out.

Warped almost immediately

I bought two of these a few months ago, I had thicker foam core v-flats in my studio, but I thought these would be nice to travel with. Unfortunately the one that I've been working with warped pretty severely, almost immediately. Because of the severe warping, the Velcro is not usable. The last time I tried to Velcro them together, the Velcro actually ripped off of the foam core. For this amount of money, the product is pretty cheaply made, in my opinion. The humidity in my studio varies between 35 to 55%, by the way, and the temperature varies from 55-75 degrees. Nothing severe enough to cause this issue. Not impressed, don't recommend.

Great buck for your money

Expensive for what they are but game changers. You can use them in so many ways without struggling with stands. The carry bag that came with it makes it easy to take with you on location shoots

No, V-flats stand on their own. No need for stand but you can always use a light stand as a support to prevent it from falling over.

Possible to carry on flight?
Asked by: ale
Though you might find an inch or two of a difference with various airlines, the standard domestic carry-on luggage size is 22” x 14” x 9”, which includes the handle and the wheels. This size limit ensures your bag — and ideally everyone else's — will be able to be stored safely in the overhead bin for your flight.

I have had my VFlat for one year and noticed the velcro is not sticking well. Seems like my board warped a bit too. Anyone else have this problem? Is there a way to get it to stick better? D
Asked by: Donna
The velcro doesn't seen to have to stick that great to work, maybe try using the panels on another edge? Also, if you have harping, just lay them on the floor and put something heavy on them for a while, even the humidity could warp those I'm sure, they are just foam core... Probably might help your velcro problem as well :) Good luck!
