Train like a pro with the Vantage V Multisport/Triathlon GPS Watch with H10 Heart Rate Sensor from Polar. The Vantage V is designed to maximize your training for demanding sports, such as triathlons, marathons, or any of 130 other sport profiles built into the Vantage V. Your performance is tracked by utilizing a combination of the built-in Precision Prime heart rate monitor, H10 heart rate sensor, Training Load Pro, and Recovery Pro technology. Together they provide you with data on how your body reacts and recovers under the load and strain of your training, helping you plan and optimize future sessions.

All of this data can be conveniently synced to Polar Flow for analysis. Polar Flow is Polar's website for tracking, analyzing, and planning your training regimen. With Polar Flow, everything is online in one place and sharable with the online community or your coach. The Vantage V also lets you sync your data with other services, such as Strava or TrainingPeaks. The Vantage V is capable of more than providing data for sports training. It can also act as a 24/7 activity tracker, monitor the quality of your sleep, calculate calories burned, and much more.

Polar Precision Prime Heart Rate Monitoring
Precision Prime measures your heart rate from your wrist, combining optical monitoring with skin contact measurement. This is done to filter out motion artifacts to get you a more accurate reading, even during intense workouts.
Training Load Pro
Training Load Pro monitors how much strain your training puts on your body. Knowing this over time allows you to optimize your workouts so you don't train too little, or too much, and risk injury. The data is provided as numerical values, verbal feedback, as well as a visual bullet scale that displays each training load. Speaking of which, the Vantage V monitors the following loads on your system:

  • Cardio Load: Calculated as training impulse, or TRIMP, it uses the heart rate monitor to quantify the load on your cardiovascular system
  • Perceived Load: Taking your own subjective experience of your training, it quantifies results with Rate of Perceived Exertion, or RPE, that shows how hard a session was compared to the average of the last 90 days
  • Strain: This shows how much you have strained yourself by displaying your average daily load from the past 7 days
  • Tolerance: Takes your average daily load from the past 28 days to determine how prepared you are for cardio training
  • Muscle Load: It tells you how much your muscles are strained in high-intensity workouts, showing you the amount of mechanical energy (kJ) that you produced
Recovery Pro
With the addition of the H10 heart rate sensor, this Vantage V watch can utilize the features of Polar's Recovery Pro technology. Recovery Pro is designed to further help prevent injury due to overtraining,by more accurately measuring how well your body has recovered from previous workouts. Recover Pro consists of three features:

Daily Recovery: An orthostatic test uses the H10 sensor to measure your daily cardio recovery level. It not only uses heart rate data, but also stress data, including external stresses, such as those stemming from poor sleep or the workplace
Training and Recovery Balance: This combines long-term recovery and training load data in order to monitor the balance between the two. This is meant to help you optimize your training sessions so you can maximize your workouts, and push your limits without training too hard
Recovery Feedback: This gives you feedback on your current cardio recovery level, and long-term training and recovery balance. Both can be combined into a daily personalized training recommendation.
Running Power & Running Index
Running Power is a feature of the Vantage V that responds to changes in intensity faster than the heart rate monitor. This helps to give you better feedback on how your running is impacting your body, and it's all done from your wrist. It's an ideal metric for interval and hill sessions, as well as races. The proprietary algorithm is based on the Vantage V's GPS and barometric data. The Vantage V can also find out your VO2max, track running cadence, speed, pace, distance, average stride length, and more.
Swimming Metrics
The Vantage V is water resistant up to 30m, which means that you can track your progress in the pool and on land. The sports watch automatically detects your heart rate, swimming style, distance, pace, strokes, and rest time. In open water, the Vantage V can track both distance and strokes.
Smart Calories
The Vantage V uses a variety of metrics to figure out an accurate value of how many calories you burned throughout the day. The value is based on your weight, height, age, gender, maximum heart rate, and how hard you're training.
24/7 Activity Tracking
The Vantage V also works as an activity tracker, tracking steps, distance, calories, and sleep.
Sleep Plus
The Vantage V sports watch automatically detects the timing, amount, and quality of your sleep.
