Featuring a 2.7" diameter, the RED CAM Ultra Special Viewfinder Eyecushion in jaguar Ultrasuede, from Bluestar, is compatible with the RED DSMC2 OLED EVF eyecup, RED BOMB EVF eyecup, and all similar-sized eyecups from RED and other brands. It attaches to the eyecup easily and stays on securely (more securely than the popular Bluestar 2010 and 5011 series). Bluestar claims they admit the design is quirky, but that it works and they strongly recommend it. The RED CAM Ultra Special Eyecushion is similar to the RED CAM Special version but has an ultra-thick design.
This Ultrasuede version is made of 100% non-woven material consisting of intertwined, brushed, ultra-fine fiber strands. It provides a high level of softness and a superior moisture absorption rate, and it can be used in any climate. The RED CAM Ultra Special Eyecushion is also known to be compatible with the Canon VIXIA HFG40, XA30, and XA35 camera eyecups, as well as all Panavision and similar eyecups. It also fits the C100/C200/C300/C500 viewfinder that doesn't use a large rubber eyecup.
