Avid Media Composer Overview

  • 1Description

Designed for editing breaking news, the Avid Media Composer Perpetual NewsCutter Option allows you to streamline your news editing to on-air workflow and integrate directly with iNEWS and ENPS systems. This add-on option is for the Media Composer perpetual license and is compatible with Windows only.

The NewsCutter Option features the full functionality of the NRCS (newsroom computer system) tool found in previous, standalone NewsCutter software. This tool lets you view stories and rundowns and edit video directly to scripts for the fastest turnaround.

Integration with iNEWS or ENPS
Open an iNEWS or ENPS session in Media Composer, view the media to be fulfilled, perform your edits, and then send to playout.
Fast Turnarounds
Edit video to match a script's content and duration to accelerate turnaround times without having to switch between apps.
iNEWS Locater Support
Drop preselected text, based on iNEWS locaters, directly on the Media Composer timeline to speed up story creation.
ENPS Playlist Support
View running orders and dynamically build and control a playlist within an ENPS media server.
