It depends upon which Remington shotgun you are discussing. The V700 case is 36.5” X 14.5”, so you need a shotgun that is either under 3' long (like the Remington 870 Tac-14—which at 26.3" would easily fit) or can be disassembled into components that will fit into the available space. At the other extreme, Remington has made 870 shotguns with 35” barrels. Double-barrel shotguns can normally be separated into two pieces, and other Remington’s can often be disassembled so they might fit with some effort. The key is to see if your shotgun can be taken-down, and if so whether the longest component is less than 3’ long (which would leave very little room on the left and right for protective foam).
