Would it allow my Beats Solo headset to work with my MacBook Pro for both listening and speaking?

If your Beats Solo has a standard 3.5 mm stereo mini plug like most every other personal headphone has you are good to go. If your Headphone has a 1/4" jack you would have to buy a 3.5mm male to 1/4" female adapter also.
