Take calls and listen to music while wirelessly connected to your computer, Bluetooth-enabled desk phone, mobile phone, or tablet with the Voyager Focus UC Bluetooth Headset from Plantronics. With up to 12 hours of talk time and a roaming range up to 98', the Voyager Focus boasts a DSP (digital sound processing)-enabled triple-mic boom and active noise cancellation, allowing you to concentrate on your calls and music.

The Voyager Focus headset features voice alerts that announce caller ID, connection status, and talk time, while a dynamic mute alert warns you if you try to talk while the headset is muted. With built-in smart sensors, the headset can detect when you take it off and automatically mute your call or pause your music. Optimized for use with standard unified communications apps, this version of the Voyager Focus includes a magnetic charging stand and a USB Type-C Bluetooth adapter with a mute status indicator.

Hearing Protection

The Voyager Focus headset boasts SoundGuard Digital technology that helps protect against sound levels above 118 dBA, while an anti-startle feature is designed to detect and eliminate any sudden increase in signal level during calls. Time-Weighted Average prevents average daily noise exposure from exceeding 85 dBA. Additional lower level hearing protection against acoustic startle is provided by the downloadable Plantronics Hub software, limiting peak levels to 102 dBA. The acoustic protection monitors and controls all audio sources from mobile and PC in telecom modes.

Unified Communications Support

UC Standard version built for UC applications and softphones from Avaya, Cisco, Skype, and more.

Dual Connectivity

This headset supports a connection memory of up to 8 devices, and can connect to 2 devices simultaneously. This allows you to chat online on a laptop with the included Bluetooth USB adapter, and then quickly take a mobile call on your Bluetooth-compatible smartphone.

Adaptive Controls

Wear the headset any way you like and the controls will be where you expect them. The controls for pause/play, track forward/back, and volume adjust to how the headset is oriented.

Active Noise Cancellation

Precision tuned triple-mics with enhanced DSP allow for background noise cancellation, while on-demand active noise cancellation lets you focus on your call or work.

Worry-Free Mute

Control your conversations with intuitive mute capabilities and built-in smart sensors. Easily mute/unmute with the touch of a button, or simply by taking the headset off and putting it back on. Music pauses automatically when a call comes in. Know whether you're on mute by glancing at the screen (while using the Plantronics Hub software) or checking the USB adapter. If you try to talk while your mic is muted, the Dynamic Mute Alert will give you an audible reminder.

Audio Quality

Stereo design with A2DP provides hi-fi stereo sound (20 Hz - 20 kHz) and an immersive audio experience. The headset also offers wideband audio performance up to 6800 Hz.

Comfort and Durability

The Voyager Focus features leatherette ear cushions wrapped around soft memory foam, while the cushioned metal headband provides durability while maintaining a comfortable, secure fit. Folding ear cushions and the included carrying case let you take the headset on the go.

Online Indicator Lights

The online indicator lights on the ear pads let others know when you are on a call.

OpenMic Feature

The OpenMic button allows you to hear your surroundings when you need to without having to take the headset off.

Class 1 Bluetooth with Adaptive Power

Roam up to 98', and the headset will switch between Class 1 and Class 2 Bluetooth based on its proximity to the Bluetooth mini-USB adapter in order to preserve battery life.

Talk/Listen Time

This is a very good comfortable and easy to use headset for work and cancels the noise out

Really Annoying Voice Prompts

By Fred66

This otherwise excellent device is marred by an in ability to turn off voice prompts indicating mute on or off, power on-off, battery high, etc. You also don't seem to be able to regulate the volume of the prompts. Over time it is irritating, especially if you turn the device on-off frequently or actively use the mute feature during calls. A careless/foolish oversight by the designers, especially since I see other models have had the capacity to control this. There are references to this annoyance over time in the review thread so it doesn’t look like a feature that will be taken seriously or fixed. It is irritating enough that I would not buy another. I find I am using my Jabra Evolve headset more to avoid the annoyance. Apart from this voice prompt issue, a great device with good range, clarity. To improve range, I put the Bluetooth dongle on the end of a long USB 3 cable to get it away from other Bluetooth dongles—helped a lot.

Disappointed with the Windows functionality

Disappointed with the Windows functionality This device in theory is Windows certified, however the functionalities and integration with windows apps is not as expected. The mute/unmute button doesn't work with the windows apps. Whit Android apps works really well. Therefore is a little bit ironic that a Windows certified device doesn’t work with windows apps like Microsoft Teams or Zoom. Moreover using the device with other Bluetooth devices connected to the PC (Windows), you will face a lot of interference noises.

Verbal Sounds are Annoying, otherwise good product

You can turn off some of the settings, but the verbal notification "MUTE ON" that occurs every time I mute during a Teams meeting is obnoxious and cannot be turned off. I do not need to be informed verbally that I simply pressed a button. Noise canceling could be improved.

Very good headset for work

This is a comfortable headset for work as it cancels the noise out and easy to use

I bought this headset because of the many great reviews. Pro side is the audio quality is top notch - has great sound stage, balanced bass (a bit on the strong side but not overpowering) I enjoy listening music on it when I'm not on call. The connection is seamless between mobile and PC. The motion sensor to pause/ mute works extremely well. Design looks sleek and professional. ANC is good. The cons, mic performance is so-so, and the strange thing is when I record on Voice memo connected via bluetooth on my mobile I sound extremely soft in the playback, this also happens when I had voice chat on Line app, people complaint I'm almost inaudible. However all works fine during webex meeting when connected via BT600 on laptop. While the voice is crisp clear there is noticeable reverb as if the air knocks off the mic. Overall the voice just don't feel as stable solid compares to wired headset. The earmuff is slightly bigger compares to other on-ear headsets so they're supposed to seal your ears to block out some noise. The cushion is also very soft. It's very comfortable ONLY if you sit in an aircond room or use it on colder days! Please consider changing the centre part to fabric as the full leather piece would heat up ears so quickly. It's really hard to ignore the heat no matter how comfortable it is! Overall I find myself not using this headset as much because of the noticeable reverb effect and earmuffs heating up too quickly. Not value for money.

Not what I was expecting, Poor sound Quality.

I request this headset for professional use. My expectation was big considering I'm moving from a Black Wire C3220 to the B825-M. Since day 1, I got complains about my voice breaking or poor sound quality. Most of the time I'm able to hear all other parties. Switching to my old device (C3220), people stop complaining. In day 3 I called Customer Service (Nov/9/2021 Case number 33852044). I spend more than 2hrs testing according support instruction. At the end I was asked to return Headset to Distributor and request a new one. I got a New B825-M set before Thanksgiving. I started using it Nov/29. Guess what? Same problem! Today is Day 3 and people still complaining that my voice is breaking or just fading the lasts words of a sentence or like a robot sound. In other words, same problem as 1st headset. This problem is "intermittent" but I will say that this problem is on more that 50% of my calls / meetings. System: Win10 / Teams / Teams Softphone.

can you provide additional information regarding the differences between the microsoft and the standard versions? Wondering what the advantage of the microsoft version is. Thanks.

I called Plantronics with this question back when I purchased this and they said the only difference is the branding on it. They are identical in hardware and software.
